Very over priced. The staff are extremely unfriendly and spend most of their time chatting to each other rather than supervising members(similar to many other virgin branches). The building looks great from the outside, but once inside you will discover the impracticality of their floor plan. Their weights area is upstairs and for such a huge building the weights section is tiny! Machines are located on the ground floor and are quite standard. Pool area is terrible, Merton Abbey has far superior facilities. Finally beware of their misleading opening times, I searched this branch on Google and it was advertised as closing at 22:30 however the gym floor shuts at 22:00. Apparently people need 30 minutes to shower, absolutely ludicrous. Other branches say they close at 22:00 not 22:30. If you want to pay for over priced facilities then by all means through your money away!

Good facilities but for the money that you paying is not worth it, you can be a member for £30 less a months and receive excatly same treatment and gymm facilities from Virgin Active in Merton.

Very nice and new facilities. Slightly pushy sales staff and gym staff just seem to chat to each other instead of superving those using the machines. It seems the only way to get advice is to book them as a personal trainer, which is wrong. Gym members should be guided if they are doing things incorrectly, that’s why we pay a fee to use the gym. The swimming pool and sauna are amazing, and relaxing after a hard workout.

Why put a gym upstairs? Not too bad going in but after training legs a pain to go back to the locker room. There is a lift though, although feels wrong in a gym. Good quality machines and equipment, great spa area. Kid friendly pool, although changing rooms can be a bit cold sometimes after a swim. Café area is well stocked with sandwiches, protein drinks etc. Good Starbucks coffee too. You can host a kid’s party here if you want. Expensive to get in if you aren’t a member, yet maybe that is a good thing. Gets a bit packed around February with all the New Year’s resolution crowd. No sports area is only down side. Squash courts would have been good.
