Topshop

Bad stock, never have anything in size 10, staff are generally unfriendly and unhelpful. Had to queue for a long time to pay and no apology given for this. Boring shop, badly organised. Massively overpriced.

Ah, I don’t really like this Topshop. It’s just confusing. From the outside it seems quite large, but it’s not. It’s wide but not very deep. What you see from the door is about it really so there’s not a lot of choice here and what little they do have just seems to be crop tops.
I don’t really get how they decided what to put on each floor either. There are three floors but they all house women’s clothing, tops, trousers, etc. So you have to browse three floors just to find a shirt instead of it being on one floor with all the other shirts. Why.
The staff also haven’t been that friendly the few times I’ve been in here. They look at you as if you’re not thin enough to fit into their clothes and when you do buy something, there’s no smiling or chatter or even asking you to put your card in. You just get silence.
I mean it’s good if you’re hunting for a simple top or a necklace or something. But if you want anything other than a plain shirt, try somewhere else.
I think I’ll walk the 15 minutes to Oxford Street next time and get more choice and friendlier service for my money.

A much smaller version of the Oxford Street location, this Topshop is one I could easily walk away from without buying anything. Staff seemed bored to tears and spent their time talking about the weekend (can you blame them?).
Due to such a tiny shop this branch as very few pieces, although they do have a (small mind you) shoe area, tall rack, petite corner, and lingerie in the basement.
Good for those who work in the area and need to spend some time or spilled coffee on their skirt and require a quick replacement. Otherwise visit the main store.

Only head to Topshop if you are prepared for total chaos at a store filled with overpriced, poorly made clothing. The only reason to go to Topshop rather than the comparable H&M or Zara, would be for the sake of the experience. Block out a few hours to navigate the entire store. I spent two hours there and only walked away with a pair of black leggings. I enjoy smaller boutiques that don’t leave you with a migraine as you exit the store.

H&M quality with BCBG prices. I was really disappointed in the selection and (lack of) value here. The clothes are cheaply made and tremendously marked up. The store is understaffed and overcrowded. Not my shopping scene.

I knew I had to go to Topshop when visiting London. As any girl would, I love the store. This store wasn’t super packed which was great because I could walk around freely without bumping into people all the time. I ended up buying a fantastic purse that I carried with me the rest of my trip and is still one of my favorite bags. The girl working at the register was SO NICE and we had a nice chat about all the different color bags they had and she asked me where I was from and why I was visiting. When I told her I graduated from culinary school she told me about how she had ice cream cake in South Africa but couldn’t find anywhere in London to get one. I told her I would come back and let her know if I found somewhere. haha it was just charming and sweet. I like when your cashier isn’t stuck up, especially cause I’m not from the UK.
Yeah, I still troll Topshop’s website from home, but I can’t wait until I can go shopping over there again. I’ll remember to buy everything to bring home with me.

I used to be a regular at this store when I worked in Waterloo. I would make my merry little way over Waterloo Bridge on pay day wondering what beautiful clothes I could blow my wages on.
Because it is a much smaller branch it’s obviously easier to make your way round here than the crazy Oxford Street branch. They seem to have a nack for selecting the best and selling it here.
I have bought many a beautiful top from here as well as hosiery which is downstairs. The staff are über cheery and the tunes are always awesome.

I pretty sure nearly every woman in England has bought something in Topshop at some point in their life, even if it was just a plain t-​shirt or a pair of pants. It’s a fashion staple, with ranges to suit everyone. I like the new «buy it now or regret it later» section — I always fall for it and end up with some sort of buy. I’m also a fan of the jeans — not too pricey and shapes to suit everyone — the skinny fit are my favourite.
This particular branch is good if you don’t fancy braving Oxford Circus (which is by far the best) and want a bite-​size selection rather than the whole shebang. There are still shoes and accessories downstairs so you’re not missing out on too much. this branch is rarely too busy so a great option if in central and not up for the mega shop.
