Turkish kebab, meat n chips, portions to please. Freakish baby face in the window, this is tooting. Finish your night and go for some food. It is dirty but fills the hole.

this is one of the only places in tooting that stays open past midnight, so if you’re on your way home from a night out and a little drunky, this is your best option for a snack. i thought their burgers and chips were actually pretty tasty, but then again, i never came here sober…

I’m a big fan of fish and chips, so when this first opened many years ago(I forget when, but I know I was still in sixth form, so must have been ages ago!), I thought I would try this new place out. At first, I thought the chips tasted great! So I decided to go there more often. However, the more I went, the more I saw that their definition of their portion sizes began to shrink. So I decided to stop going. Also at the time, my sister tried the place out. She told me that when she went, they purposely tried to short change her(she gave them £10 for a portion of small chips, and they didn’t give her any change). When she challenged them, they just started laughing, and she had to argue to get her money from them. From my personal experience and from what I heard, I give this 1 star!

A very very good chip shop. Good value and great tasting, open fairly late and serving a variety of typical chip shop food.

This is a handy place to get the classic post pub take out along the style of a kebab or battered sausage and chips, however it’s open during the day as well for the more refined offerings of fish and chip and such like. Apart from early in the morning, I have never seen this place shut. The staff are friendly and nice and are able to serve many people at the same time(so the queuing time shouldn’t be that long). They have a few tables at the back that are fine for somewhere to eat during the day or the early evening, but wouldn’t really be advised later at night. Being a fish and chip shop they server ‘proper’ chips instead of fries that many places sell nowadays(which I consider to be a real plus as fries are annoying), and if you are feeling a little flush you can’t go wrong with their chicken shish which is made to order for you. One thing you’ll notice if you go to this place and from the picture is that they have a massive picture of a smiling baby in the front window. I have no idea why this is here other than to freak out the punters as they walk in and out of the place. It certainly freaks me out anyway :-)
