Great place, over looking the docks — lots of places to sit outside and they open up the doors. Good selection of food, however on the more expensive side.

So this place is okay. I’d heard a lot about Tom’s Kitchen so I decided to try it out. I found a deal on the Bookatable app where for £25 for three courses and a glass of Prosecco per person. I opted for the Corn-fed Chicken Rillets, fruit chutney with toast to start with. I then ordered the Pot Roast Lamb Shoulder with balsamic glazed onions and mashed potato and for dessert I had Poached Rhubarb Fool. I wasn’t keen on the chicken rillet as I’m not fond of food which has a pâté like consistency and this kind of did. Also my toast was burnt. The lamb shoulder was nice and well seasoned although it was very fatty and I really don’t like fatty meats. But the mash was okay. I liked my pudding though. I love rhubarb and it was poached very well, I definitely got that sweet and sour taste. The service was good. However at the end they put an optional service charge on and when we didn’t pay it(as it said optional) the waitress asked us why. When we explained it said optional she went away. But she should have known. Overall it was okay. I’ve had better food like this in other establishments. Maybe it was because I went on a set menu. But yeah, not bad!

Went here yesterday for a friends birthday and still not quite sure what I thought about it. We got a deal which was 3 courses and a glass of prosecco for £25. For starter I had corn-fed chicken rillettes. This was served with toast and fruit chutney. In my opinion this wasn’t my favourite course but was the best option for me on the menu. Mains was pot roast lamb shoulder with mash and gravy. This was alright but nothing spectacular. Pudding I had dark chocolate mousse profiteroles. This was probably the best out of the three courses. Overall the meal was nice, but not sure that I would go again or recommend this restaurant. The restaurant was very quiet, although it was a Monday all the other restaurants down st Katherine’s docks were much busier!

The food here was fine, but nothing to write home about. I found my crab cake a bit flavorless(it just tasted fried) and found my macaroni and cheese was too heavy. The setting is trendy and nice. The hostess seemed a bit confused– she said«this way ladies» to my husband(who I don’t think looks particularly lady-like) and I when she was seating us. She also asked what kind of water we would like– we emphatically said tap but told the waitress we wanted sparkling.

Came into the restaurant not sure what to expect since it was British food and it’s really not known for flavor. Well, this was an amazing experience. The food was tasty and the portions were huge. The Lamb Rump had amazing flavor. But my favorite was the Slow Cooked Pork Belly. The flavors were incredible. The soured cabbage, the spiced sausage and the mustard sauce made it such a flavorful dish. This was by far, the best dish I had in London. And of course, the Charcuterie Board was not only enough to feed 4 people but the selection was great. This is the place to eat.

Toms kitchen deli is my favourite place for lunch in the city. Situated in the beautiful St Katherine’s Docks, it offers high quality, well priced food. I’ve so far tried the cheese and tomato croissant which was a delight and only £2.50, the vegetable stew which was delicious and clearly made with fresh veg, the chocolate éclair which was oh-my-goodness so good and incredibly chocolatey, the almond croissant and the pecan tart, both of which were pretty good but nothing special. I’ll be back soon to try more!

Tom’s Kitchen St Katherine Docks is a stunning restaurant with an interesting wine list and quality food. Despite not everything being perfect, the atmosphere is great, staff are attentive and my waiter was super-helpful. When I walked into Tom’s Kitchen St Katherine Docks, I immediately liked the beautiful room. The light brown leather seating, light wood tables mixed with stone tables in combination with white tiles on the walls created a very pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed, that Tom’s Kitchen did not try to be overly modern like many other places, but instead sports a somewhat classy design. The only irritation is one wall where mirrors and actual windows are alternating randomly. Only at the end, I notice the exposed brick wall and the great open kitchen in the back of the restaurant in a big room with a high ceiling. To start off, I looked through the wine list and found a few items that sounded pretty interesting. My excellent waiter offered to bring over two different wines to taste, as I could not decide. This is the kind of service I miss at some otherwise very good places. So I got to try two wines, both were ones you do not find on many other menus, I think. The first one was an intriguing 2014 Pinot Bianco, Quercus, Goriska Brda from Slovenia. The other one is listed as recommendation in the wine list, a Turkish 2014 Emir/Sultaniye, Mahra, Yazgan. I was surprised how much I liked the Turkish one with its mineral notes, a very nice wine. I the ended up ordering a different one — an English sparkling, 2010 Balfour Brut Rose Vintage. I was surprised when I got it, because I completely missed that it was a rose, or rather orange. It took me quite some time to fibure out the taste, because I did not expect that, but while I was sipping, the closest flavour the wine reminded me of was that of blue cheese. As starter, I chose some bread and also ricotta with balsamic glaze and herbs together sith toasted sourdough. The slices of bread were a bit too thin for my taste. But the butter was delicious. The ricotta was light with a hint of lemon or so and also surprising, as it was combined with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and rosemary. A lovely dish with the toasted sourdough. However — and that was entirely my fault — my blue cheese sparkling wine was not the perfect companion for this plate. My main course was nothing fancy, a fillet steak, medium, with a peppercorn sauce and triple-cooked chips. I must admit that the chips were probably a little bit too salty — balancing it with some pepper resolved that for me. The peppercorn sauce was good, with actual peppercorns in it, as I think it should be, but overall it was a bit too heavy and creamy. The steak came part medium-rare, part medium and was very good. I would have prefered it not as charred as it was, but it was still okay for me. As with every decent steak, I ate it without the sauce to taste more of the meat, and had the sauce mostly with the chips instead. Another great recommendation by my brilliant waiter was the apple and vanilla panna cotta. For a panna cotta, is was quite heavy due to the very nice caramel and the crumble. Anyway, the different textures including the apple jelly worked like a treat and tasted lovely. As they only do bitter, Italian-style coffee, I decided to leave without an espresso. Tom’s Kitchen St Katherine Docks is a beautiful restaurant with good food and a great wine list with some interesting and uncommon options. If you are not convinced by the wine list, you might be won over by the spot-on service. I am happy to go back — or more likely perhaps check out another Tom’s Kitchen branch soon.

Came here after visiting the Tower of London. Not impressed. I ate the fish and chips, and it was tasteless. Nothing special. The rest of the people I was with ate different items and nothing special either.

Based on reviews from Unilocal and Time Out, we had lunch here. The fish and chips was tasteless, a bone got stuck in my throat, the wait staff uppity and we inadvertently paid $ 15 for still water. Though my teenager liked the Mac and Cheese. I must say that the design of the space was very nice. Not recommended for anything more than apps and drinks.

Tom’s Kitchen has a lovely setting in the middle of the marina, and is the perfect spot to enjoy a sunny weekend brunch. I had the Brioche French Toast, which was served with stewed apples and a giant blob of cinnamon sugar goodness(which I’m pretty sure was butter), and my friend ordered the Eggs Benedict. Both were a bit simple but tasty and reasonably priced, and you simply can’t beat sitting in the breezy open windows on a lovely summer day. The restaurant was not too crowded at 1PM on a Saturday– we had reservations but they didn’t appear to be necessary. I’d certainly recommend this location for a reasonable and tasty brunch, especially when the weather is nice!

Excellent burger, although I don’t know how you pick it up to eat it. Fries with truffle oil also excellent. Bloody Mary has clam juice, not my favorite. Modern décor.

I went to Toms kitchen for the first time with a group of friends on friday and we had a fab time. The setting is already there at St Katherines Dock with its wonderful views. The staff were super friendly and helpful although their water pouring skills were at times questionable with water often being spilt on the floor! My boyfriend and I ordered the 7 hour slow cooked lamb to share. The meat was lovely and fell straight off the bone. We didnt order starters but because of the wait for the lamb which we were warned off on the menu the chef cooked us all poached egg and asparagus starters that were complimentary! My lther friends had the fish and chips and the macaronni and cheese which they enjoyed. The only down fall on yhe food was the lack of veggie choices! The desserts were amazing! I had the chocolate abd peanut butter fondant which was so gooey and delectable! Overall a great place that I would recommend and go back to!

Netter Blick auf den Hafen. Modern eingerichtet und trotzdem gemütlich. Endivien-Salat mit karamelisierten Nüssen und Limettendressing ein Gedicht.

I had wanted to visit Tom’s Kitchen for ages after my flatmate had recommended a central London branch and when I was staying in the area over Christmas with family visiting from overseas, my brother suggested going here. We also decided to go in as we had my nephew who’s one years old in the group and saw another little one inside so figured they were child friendly. We had a lovely meal and were all happy with our choices and how they were served, etc, the only issue I have is that it is a little pricey for what you get and what you’re paying for isn’t that different/better than other more reasonably priced venues. The service was very efficient, friendly, attentive and polite. Located in the heart of St Katherine’s Docks so in a very attractive setting and handy for Tower Bridge/Tower of London and transport links for Tower Hill tube and Tower Gateway DLR.

The restaurant is located on St. Katherines Dock which is a lovely area. Food is traditional British. I did not find the choices particularly innovative for vegetarians. I ordered the bean & root vegetable cassoulet with drop scones. Though the dish was ok it is nothing that I would return for. The only other option was a veggie tart– which tends to be quite a boring choice for vegetarians. Food is served on wooden boards and presented nicely. Staff was friendly. Though food was ok– I would probably not return as I found the restaurant as a whole lacked atmosphere and I crave more exciting vegetarian choices.

Amazing! I am a particularly strict /fussy vegetarian in that I won’t eat chips that have been in the same fryer as fish etc and this place just totally put me at ease. They not only talked me through the veggie options on the menu but also reassured me that they have three fryers one for meat one for fish and one veggie, hurrah, why can’t everywhere do that? I had bean and kale casserole with herb dumplings and salad, so tasty! It was also refreshing that the veggie options weren’t cheese based or pasta based. Crisp décor and great atmosphere.

Was a bit disappointed with the menu when we came here for a weekend lunch, the usual burgers, steak etc. a bit of a cash cow for Tom. We were catching up with friends so it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. The boys had the burgers, my friend had the fish cakes and I had a steak and chips. We also ordered a couple of bloody Mary’s and beers. Being in the hub of St Katherine’s dock it was very busy, our food surprisingly came well before our drinks. Everyone enjoyed their food, I’ve had much better Bloody Mary’s though. The actual restaurant is quite a cool space. There are areas that can be private, which is good to know for larger groups. I won’t be rushing back but I wouldn’t say no if it was suggested.

Stopped in here while wandering around tonight, the food was amazing. We had the Pork Belly which was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It came with a carrot purée which was simply divine. For dessert we shared a baked Alaska which was also very good. Highly recommend.

I went to the soft opening. They were still getting the kinks out – the front of the restaurant was not 100% complete and the wait staff seemed a bit nervous, The food was good, but as with all of Tom’s restaurants I just can’t get that excited. I think the food although well executed is boring. I find the interiors boring as well. These are just restaurants without soul, and as they expand into St. Katherine’s dock it just seems like one more soul-less restaurant in one of the most beautiful areas of London. Sigh.

When we heard that Tom’s Kitchen were having a soft opening at their new restaurant at St Katherine Docks, we jumped at the chance to visit for breakfast. We made a reservation for Tuesday morning at 8am, which is when they open. We could have a great breakfast and then head to the office with a full stomach, ready for the day ahead. I had the french toast which came with caramelised apple and cinnamon cream. It was one slice of brioche bread but, to be sure, it was a generous slice indeed. The texture was great and the cinnamon cream was a good accompaniment. The apple was slightly underdone to my taste, but still ok. My wife had the traditional omelette with cheese, tomato and mushrooms.(Note — you need to pay more for these extra ingredients.) The verdict was that this was also nicely cooked. For drinks, I had my usual flat white and my wife tried the cucumber, apple and mint juice. This was delicious. I think the cucumber and mint added a nice freshness to the mix. As this visit was during the soft opening, we noticed a few things which needed ironing out. The main breakfast meals took longer than I had expected to come out and they could have been more proactive in clearing our plates at the end. But, I am sure that they will improve in these areas. Our server for breakfast was enthusiastic and we felt welcomed to the restaurant. He was a good ambassador.

Tom’s Kitchen is expanding, and they’re opening a new branch in St Katherine’s Dock — I popped in during their soft opening to check out the newest addition to the Wapping area. For the outside, Tom’s Kitchen is a little non-descript. Dark façade, with just a small panel where the menu is displayed gives away the location of the restaurant. You step inside, up a slight ramp into a warm, welcoming space with exposed brick walls and wooden floors. It’s a modern, but natural feel to the interior décor of the restaurant, with a mixture of table seating and fitted booths. The layout of the restaurant is spacious, and it’s definitely idea for groups of people — the booths could easily handle 8 people, and the longer tables up to 16. At the far end of the restaurant, the kitchen is visible through an open wall, so your eye can wander off to activity in the service area when your date begins to bore you. The staff were polite, happy to help and knowledgable about the food they were serving, which is about all you want from your waiter and greeter. We were made to feel welcome, and we spoke after our meal with the day manger who was lovely and told us a bit more about the chain of restaurants and their expansion into the area. So the food — I opted for the 8oz fillet steak, with bearnaise sauce, mashed potatoes and green beans. The food only took about 20 minutes to come out, and was cooked perfectly — the steak was melt in your mouth good! Tom’s Kitchen charges £30 for their fillet steak, but this was on par with some of the finest steakhouses in the city(which charge double that). Unfortunately, I’d arrived into Tom’s Kitchen with a significant amount of work stress to contend with, and I didn’t have room to pack my appetite. Though Tom’s Kitchen definitely improved my mood, I was sufficiently full after just the main course and sides, and decided not to try the desserts. I know. I’m an awful person. But, I definitely will be back to give them a go — there’s a wide variety of them on the menu, and at £7 each, I think I may need to go back a few times!
