The Retail Manager of this Thomas Pink Sloane Street branch used to work at the Thomas Pink branch store in Kings-Cross St Pancras International Railway Station. At that time he was still the Retail Manager; I think company must have shifted him to the Sloane Street & Chelsea area. And I must say, I find him socially awkward, out-of-touch, uninterested, dismissive and very rude. More importantly he is very apathetic. Well the thing is, I’ve known him for while: And in my opinion, he is stone-faced within refusal to articulate internal thoughts or external responses in whatever a customer a desires. Apparently, he used to work for Harrods in the Jewellery department, I’m afraid to admit. I simply asked him a question, regarding a Swiss-French staff member(who in fact lives near me, in my neck of woods) and his reply was ’Sorry, I don’t talk about my staff’ what the hell I said to myself. I call that a really, really horrible just plain horrible man’ The Retail Manager of Thomas Pink is seriously out of order. I mean he is really out of his depth. If you’re determined to spend a lot of money in this place I wouldn’t bother. This Thomas Pink branch store is seriously the one to avoid. Hilditch & Key used to be located opposite Thomas Pink in Sloane Street, but sadly they have closed down many moons ago. I think anyone reading this review would be better off buying their shirts from Emma Willis, Budd’s, Dege & Skinner, Turnbull & Asser or Hilditch & Key.

My experience was the complete opposite of the previous reviewer. I needed some nice fitted shirts for Spring/Summer, but the style I wanted was out of stock in my size, so I visited their Sloane Street store. Although they also didn’t have a size 6 in store, a really friendly female assistant said she could order it in and it would take a couple of days to arrive. I was also unsure whether I could fit into a size 4, so she ordered both sizes for me to try. When they arrived, I walked down to try them on and decided that because the style ran a bit big, the size 4 was a better fit. Unfortunately the assistant packed the size 6 and I didn’t realise her mistake until I got home. I called up the store, and they apologised and offered to deliver the correct size for free at my work address. I was impressed with the way they handled the situation, but in the end I just went back down there. The assistant was very apologetic, and let’s face it, we all make mistakes! I’d definitely go back when I need more shirts :-)

I bought one shirt from them which was great and has lasted well through the washes but incredibly rude service for what was quite an expensive shirt. If you are in Chelsea I would go to Hilditch and Key for similar price range but much better service and they seem to last longer or my favourite Hawes and Curtis on the Kings Rd. MUCH cheaper and whilst not quite the same quality not many would notice the difference. Go during their offers but not their sales as I can see a big difference in quality then(maybe shirts specially made for the sale?)
