OK, I’ll break the seal on this place. It pwns pretty hard.
I am not a shopper. (And I don’t mean «I am not a shopper» like Waka Flocka Flame* says «I am not a rapper.» If you have made several «rap» «albums», you are a rapper.) So it was with trepidation that I stepped into this store, particularly in the hipsterlicious boutiquey area east of Spitalfields (motto: «where west London comes east when it wants girl jeans but doesn’t want to smell urine»).
However, I am super pro this place. I don’t know brands that aren’t REI or Mountain Hardwear, but this store simply offers up good brand-​name clothing for cheapies. Not 100% sure how they do it, but I’m for it. I bought two pairs of Gant trousers for £40 each. Sure, they needed to be hemmed to my leg length, but hey – they’d go for £100 elsewhere.
Staff were also very good; the sort of unobtrusive-​but-​always-​within-​easy-​eye-​contact sort of lingering that makes you think that they’re either really eager to help or convinced you’re going to steal something. At the prices they offer, I didn’t have to.
