Great pub, nice ambient atmosphere true hidden gem of the Old Coulsdon. When I went on Wednesday the service was absolutely shocking though. I waited 1hour at least for anything to be served, when if asked for bread to start with. I actually got our main before the bread!!! Then when I asked for the bread they brought it after our mains… They gave a poor excuse that it was extra busy for Wednesday and also they had a lot of trainee waiters, as well as starting a new menu that night. Well perhaps next time they shouldn’t try to do all that on a same day!!! Two stars nocked off for absolutely poor service we received…

Large pub/restaurant, with a warm atmosphere. Nicely decorated. If it’s large quantities of food you want, this isn’t for you; but if you want quality cuisine, look no further. The food I ate was divine, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Not the cheapest place around, but you get what you pay for. I’d have given 5 stars were it not for the very slow service.

This is a really nice pub, inside and out, with excellent food, service and décor — hard to believe it’s part of a chain. I would even go as far to say the Tudor Rose is the jewel in Old Coulsdon’s crown. Of course, I will always yearn for the Harvester days of gorging myself on that salad bar and eating enough crispy onion salad topping to sink a small seaborne vessel but this is probably for the best. Long-term. Although I hate to admit it.
