Lovely little coffee shop. Fresh made and tasty produce available to eat in or take away. The Panini’s, potatoes and salads are all great mixes of fresh meats and cheese — classic combinations with quality ingredients served promptly in a calm and relaxing classy café. The for those of you with a sweet tooth you simply cannot(and should not!) walk past the delicious window display of melt in the mouth cakes, muffins and treats.

The Teapot in Forest Hill is a very cute and independent coffee, tea and cake shop between Forest Hill Station and the Horniman Museum. They also have some seating in the back of the shop, which allows you to sip your tea while watching shoppers come in and order take-away cake and have a go at the delicatessen selections on offer. In general the cakes are baked by the owner himself and the service is very nice. They do not have a very fancy collection of baked stuff, but if you like your muffins and Victoria sponges this is the cake shop for you.

Nice little café/deli to grab a takeaway coffee for the walk up the hill to the Horniman Museum. Friendly staff if we had more time we would have grabbed a seat. Cakes and bread looked great. Coffee good.
