Atmosphere and service are fab but food is extremely disappointing. Our pita bread was obviously nuked in the microwave as it became hard as a rock after about 10 minutes and the size of the pot of hummus that came with that was ridiculously puny. Pity.

After years and years of dithering, I can say that is is my favourite pub in Chelsea! Love the local, unpretentious atmosphere of this pub. It is hidden away in the back streets between King’s Road and Chelsea Embankment, not the obvious location for a pub and as such is largely full of locals or people who know of the pub through friends. Very few tourists or people that just happened to be passing by. Customers and staff both super friendly. Have not eaten here yet, but gather it’s good and will give it a go soon! Part of the Geronimo Group who also have the superb Builder’s Arms and many other great pubs in London.

LOVE! My friend always recommended and yet never came until recently — almost signed a let across the street and the cutest area of Chelsea… super friendly staff, adorable, never too crowded to get a table, cheap prosecco… not much to dislike!

The atmosphere here was great but the food let it down. I was there for Sunday lunch and was in the mood for the trad slap up meal. We were offered a choice of pork, beef or chicken for two. My companions were on starters only, so that meant no chicken. The waiter told me that the beef was not rare, but they might be able to find some medium rare(when I saw someone else’s plate, there was no hint of pink at all), so I chose the pork. The pork was a disappointment in the extreme. It had obviously been pre-sliced and kept warm, so was totally dry, needing the runny gravy(the plate came swimming in gravy) to make it edible. The vegetables(separately plated) were overcooked and watery. Kudos to the waiter for being honest about the beef. Kudos to the kitchen for excellent apple sauce and crackling. Kudos also for my companions’ meals which looked good. But why cannot the kitchen do a simple thing like roast pork and vegetables properly? Most disappointing.

Hidden away pub in Chelsea — I’ve lived within a couple blocks of this place for over a year and didn’t know it was there until a week or two ago. I guess you could say it was a… «Surprise» to find a pub in the area I hadn’t been to yet. :-) It definitely has a Chelsea feel to it, you’ll find lots of well dressed rich people having a pint at their neighborhood pub, but the inside actually has a fair amount of character. The menu board looked like it changed often(maybe daily), and prices were quite reasonable for the area. You’ll find the usual beers on tap, along with a few cask ales and wine to quench your thirst. Looking forward to going back to try the food!
