Very impressed, especially with manager Salim. He graciously found a way to seat a surprise group of 14 with a smile despite peak dinner rush hour. And to go the extra mile, he ensured dairy-free dishes for the lactose intolerant among us, much appreciated.

Ate here on the 8th Dec 2014 as was staying right next door. Service can be described as perfunctory at best, each waiter wants to fill your drink quickly so you buy more, got the distinct impression that I was an inconvenience , I had the king prawn puri as a starter and it was ok, slightly over spiced to mŷ taste, however not too bad as the prawns were cooked well. For main course I had Chicken Saag with mushroom pilau rice. The mushrooms were undercooked and reminded me of tinned mushrooms form then 1970’s. The saag was tasteless and overall very disappointing. Considering the other reviews I looked at prior to going the restaurant I was very disappointed. Score wise I would look at 2 from 5.

We came here with a colleague, her husband, my husband, and my five month old. The servers were very accommodating with the baby. It was busy but the service was great. Food was fantastic!!! We had the garlic naan(which was incredible), lamb, chicken, okra, and prawns– all fantastic! We ended up coming back the next night and had another very pleasant experience. Can’t wait to visit again!

This pleasant spot has very inexpensive vegetarian fare. We had two veg dishes — Chana masala and spinach paneer. Both quite good, also a chicken curry. The chicken was well prepared, white meat, no icky gristle. Meat dish was double the cost of the veg, portion was only slightly larger. Nice greasy paratha. Yum!

Perfectly good Indian restaurant, bit of a ‘city boy’ clientele during the week. Lovely attentive service, nice food and enough space to spread out a little. I like the prawn puri and the chicken rezala a lot — it’s difficult to find them usually. The mango chutney is made from real mangos and the naan and rice are good too. There’s nothing especially brilliant about it, but it is consistently good.

If you are heading for Brick Lane for yet another homogeneous curry bastardised for the English palate and which no self-respecting Indian would touch, turn left out of the Tube and come here instead. Rajasthan II is where you will find a clever balancing act of keeping the essence and flavours of traditional dishes yet delivering them in a modern and fresh way. I was steered by my waiter towards a lamb shank that was delicately cooked and served in a sauce of freshly stewed tomatoes and spices. It was a triumph of flavour and freshness, Not one of the dishes or sides was disappointing, the dining room was upmarket yet welcoming and the service was friendly and attentive throughout.

A pleasant enough Indian restaurant, but nothing really out of the ordinary. The duck tikka starter is quite pleasant; the curry good, but just a little too ‘the same as everyone elses’; the sag paneer more reminiscent of sag pasanda. The same could be said about the dhal tarka, which is a great pity, because a good dhal tarka is like winning Euromillions, finding out you that have just inherited Hawaii from a long forgotten, dead uncle and getting a Valentines card from Kate Winslett on the same day.
