The London Bridge Experience

I purchased the London Pass and this was one of the events included.
It’s ok. Entertaining. This is a show, not a museum. The actors are good.
If you want a few laughs with a short back story about the bridge, this is it.
Not sure I would pick this again, if I had limited time in London.

As part of our Halloween bonanza my sister, a friend and myself decided to add this into the mix! We were dressed to kill and ready for whatever but lord knows we weren’t ready for this!
It’s crazy dark in there and that alone is scary but then around every corner there’s something dodgy going on! I really feel sorry for the man who was in front of me as I latched onto his back like a koala bear! Poor man! I should’ve offered to do the dry cleaning for his jacket because I’m 100% I got tons of fake blood on it. Haha!
Anyways you end up screaming so hard your head feels like Mike Tyson has been at it for an hour or so. Bam bam BAM! I screamed for my mother a few times and personally I’m surprised she didn’t turn up! Even Obama probably heard my cries! We really enjoyed ourselves! Defo a nice way to get your kicks lol

I lost a few hairs going to this.
i decided my halloween needed an extra element to it, so me, my sister and a friend threw this into the mix. because of the day we chose, we queued for almost two hours.
yes! two hours! my nostrils flared, my eyes bulged with terror!. .. . then they started handing out candy and glow sticks.. .then, i became a much more agreeable person.
when we first got in, it wasnt very scary at all.
i flicked my hair thinking i’d had scarier dates than this.
then.
THEN.
MY GOD!
things took a turn for the worse, ive never screamed so much in life, my throat was sore after 5minutes. bare in mind the experience lasts about 40mins aprox.
a creepy girl covered in blood stood in a dark room, i cried out for my mother, then Jesus when she didnt turn up.
It was brilliant for halloween, so many scares. id recommend flat shoes, as i was in heels and many times i needed to run for my life.
crazy fun for a group of friends.

The experience is essentially split into two, for the first half; the London Bridge Experience, you are led by actors on a tour of London Bridge’s many forms and its history. There is a lot of good information given as well as a lot of fun to be had which will keep the kids entertained for the first thirty minutes or so of your visit.
If you’re brave enough you then set off in smaller groups into the Tombs, a former plague pit, which are dimly lit and host all kinds of horrible nasties designed to terrify. Make your way past walls that are dripping in blood, squeeze through confined spaces and gasp in terror as you’re met with spiders, snakes, ghosts and ghouls, and many other horrors. It’s a thrilling journey that uses the latest in Hollywood style wizardry and hilarious live actors. Children under 11 can request a special «Guardian Angel tour» which tones down the scares and skips a few extreme bits. Anyone with a heart condition, claustrophobia, breathing difficulties etc will be advised not to go into the tombs.

Sorte de maison de l’horreur où la première partie est une succession de salles ou des acteurs expliquent des parties de l’histoire du pont de Londres. La deuxième partie est une maison de l’épouvante ou l’on traverse des successions de salles à toute allure.
L’expérience né vaut probabalement pas le prix d’entrée sauf si vous avez comme moi le London Pass (regardez ce que c’est en ligne). Dans ce cas, c’est une parenthèse plutôt drôle dans une journée touristique.

Front part presents costume commentary history of Medieval London followed with Scare entertain tacts @ the end.
Not recommended for kids or adults who have low tolerance for scare shocks and dark places.
Weird on how the experience ended with modern time «Saw» scene; quite unrelated to the mid 14^th Century theme.
Quite fun experience depending on how much horror one can withstand.

This is absolutely ridiculous! Have been to Hamburg Dungeon and Berlin Dungeon and thought it would be somewhat similar. But it was just like a cheap copy.
Part I is about the history of London Bridge. The actors were not bad but they were not really engaging. In one room you just have to read about the history of the London Bridge which was just boring. We didn’t want to go to a museum!
Part II of the tour is a real waste of time. If you like horror movies maybe it makes you scare and you enjoy this bit. I think it’s just crap. Actors behave like little freaks and we couldn’t see the connection to London Bridge. Please don’t bring your small children. I didn’t want to see them cry :((

I went to the London Bridge Experience just over a month ago with my boyfriend, the tickets cost £17 each and the website makes it look really terrifying.
When we came out of the train station there were representatives from the London Bridge Experience outside giving out leaflets and he approached us asking if we were interested… We said we were already on our way there anyway. This man then said some rubbish about giving us a discount as the tickets are usually £25 but said he could do them for £17 but we already knew that tickets are £17 from the website? I don’t think they should be allowed to try and rope people in like this, making them think they’re getting a really good deal when the actual price is just £17 anyway.
When we entered the building for the London Bridge Experience we were in a little queue and told to wait whilst someone collected us for the tour to start. We felt as though the beginning of the tour was a bit slow to start and had to wait in a museum type room whilst the London Bridge is Falling Down song was played over and over again which got irritating.
The actors were really good and really got into the spirit of it and I like the way they involve the tourists and the things they come out with can be quite amusing — after all, it’s great to poke fun at tourists.
The last section, supposed to be like a post-​apocalypse zombie scene was by far the best part and it was scary! We had to walk single-​file through various rooms whilst holding onto the person in front as it was dark and actors would come out from nowhere and make spine-​chilling noises. Being the second from last, I didn’t think that I would get picked on as much as the people at the front of the queue was I was wrong! Being at the back is probably worse as they follow you!

They have an interactive live tour museum where they have actors engage w the audience. It’s an involved tour so be prepared. There is theater w a mix of haunted house all in one. Def worthwhile w the London card & if u like this type of stuff.

I had fun going here and really didn’t expect much. I bought the London Pass so it was covered and I was in a faster line (faster doesn’t mean much as they only take in a small group of people every 10 minutes or so). It was some kid who couldn’t be older than early 20s letting us in.
The first part of the LBE is actually based off true events which was interesting. They throw in ways with it to make it interactive and scary. My group had 0 enthusiasm so the participation was lacking.
The Tombs part is the «scary» part with people popping out to scare you and stuff. SPOILER: I do wish they didn’t have the thing where you enter between 2 mattresses squeezing you in. I had a large purse with me and it was a struggle getting it to fit. Like someone here mentioned, I actually don’t think people of all sizes could get through this making it embarrassing.
At the end when I exited, some guy working there who remembered me going to buy a ticket, asked me what I thought and how was it. It was nice that he remembered me and asked.
Now would I go here without the London Pass? No, but I maybe would go if I had the 2 for 1 coupon. I went to the London Dungeons years ago and was disappointed with that.

I really didn’t know what to expect coming here. I was compelled to check it out because I had the London Pass. Basically, you walk through rooms where different people in the dress of the old days (when London Bridge was literally falling down) teach you about the history of the structure and try to scare you while doing so. The actors do a good job and like any performance job, they feed off the energy of the audience, so I recommend participating to get a better experience. I was in a group with some quiet Europeans (who also didn’t really speak English). There were definitely some scary parts – I won’t give it away like some people on Unilocal did.
I guess the big question is, is it worth paying for (without the London Pass)? It depends on how much you’re spending.
Adult: £24.00 Child: £18.00
Adult: $ 40 Child: $ 30 (Exchange rate as of MAY2014)
So, for 40USD, I want to say, no it’s not worth it. Maybe if it was $ 20 instead for one adult. With that said, I highly recommend getting a London Pass so that you don’t have to worry about all the prices (which will make your wallet really sad). Get the pass online, go to London for at least 3 days, and go to as many places as possible to get your monies worth.

So scary! Traveling here as an American, I wanted to go home immediately! Definitely fun, cool, and entertaining. The tour guides and actors were fun and upbeat for the entire tour. Definitely recommend it if you can handle it!

I think the best audience for this would be kids aged 12 – 15. As an adult, my experience was that of a highly over-​priced carnival funhouse that featured actors suddenly shouting to try to startle visitors, actors slamming things, jumping out at visitors while wearing masks, waving around fake chainsaws (all the noise and smell with none of the fright), etc. You get the picture. There were also constant flashing lights, things hanging to touch visitors, and other annoyances. The brochure claims that it’s «educational,» and in fact, there is one room that provides a series of text panels, historic objects, and a model of the London Bridge, maybe from about 1700? I don’t know because they only allow visitors a few minutes to explore the actual educational portion of the «tour.» I didn’t realize that the attraction was done as a semi-​guided visit for groups of people. If I had (or if I’d read some reviews on Unilocal beforehand), I would not have chosen the London Bridge/​Tombs site.

I have no idea why there’s so many bad reviews for this. It was HELLA scary and a lot better than London Dungeons!
Worth every penny!

Get a discounted ticket somehow, it’s not worth the full price. Still enjoyable. The entrance is not opposite the tube exit but on the road behind it, under the bridge.

It wasn’t nearly as exciting as I thought it would be. It was scary at times, but not THAT scary. I’m kind of a chicken so that’s a lot coming from me. It was an okay experience, though. If you’re in the area and are interested in learning about London, this would be an interesting way to do it! I just found myself bored at times because I’m not much of a history person and the presentations were subpar. I just wish they made it a tad bit more engaging.

What an absolute waste of money!!! £18 and that was the student discount price!!! most of the tour was just a boring audio tour… absolute no scares until near enough the end. and as for the ‘hellevator’ that was just like being on the tube during rush hour!!! the maze at the end was a bit scary but nothing major and not worth what i paid! how its been voted britains best scare attraction i’ll never know!!!

By «experience» they mean brief history lesson followed by a fun house. With all the amazing things to see in London, this one can definitely be skipped.

This place is a joke. It’s a waist of time and money. And people were still paying anywhere from £15−25 or more to go through this. I got the London Pass so I didn’t have to pay any more, but guess what… just because you have the London Pass, it’s ok to NOT go to this.
It’s ok to skip this. It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault.
Sub-​par performing actors will guide you through this scary early 1900s London scenario. They will throw in a few laughs here and there. But ultimately you’ll go through a series of dark mazes with your hands mounted on the shoulders of the guy or gal in front of you. Pretty nasty stuff if the person you are holding is greasy in nature.
They should have hand sanitizers at the end of this tour.

Not brilliant and expensive.

Mir war schon nicht ganz geheuer als wir an einem Abend beschlossen hier her zu gehen.
Unter der Brücke wo sich der Eingang befindet ist es düster und dunkel.
Man wird erst durch einen Schauspieler eingeleitet in die dunkle Geschichte von der London Bridge und London allgemein und es wird ein Leader für die Gruppe gewählt der diese leiten und motivieren muß.
(Mein Freund hatte das ‘pech’ ;-)).
War schon witzig.
Achtung: Epileptiker, kinder unter 8 jahren und Herzschwache tragen eigene Verantwortung.
Später liefen wir als Gruppe hand in hand durch gruselige Räume (ich will nicht zuviel verraten) aber es war im Nachhinein echt super.
In dem Moment ist man mehr konzentriert wo man läuft, was auf einen zukomt und was noch alles passieren wird.
Am Ende liefen mir ein paar Tränchen über die Wangen.
Nicht von Angst.
Das kam mehr vom nervösen Lachen und Adrenaline.
Einen Besuch wert …100%

Yes, we’re tourists. Yes, we got off our double decker tour bus to go to one of these silly haunted houses. Our guide told us London Dungeon has absolutely zero historical significance (there was no «London Dungeon» as you might think if you aren’t from the area) so we opted for this place instead. From reading the Unilocal reviews about the other place they sound almost identical, except that this one focuses on happenings with the bridge and the other focuses on murderers, some who never lived (ie. Sweeney Todd). I am very glad we picked this one as with the student discount they randomly gave us (never even showed cards– I’m 27 years old and not a student) we paid £24 total. Not cheap but London Dungeon appears to be £22 per person! I’d be super angry if we paid something like that!
You basically go through a bunch of silly sets with actors going over the top about various London Bridge historical happenings. You get to interact a bit and pull down an early London Bridge with Vikings. One «lucky» guest, who is most likely volunteered by playful family members, has to interact more and I just kept thanking God it wasn’t me. The thing about this London Bridge Experience is none of the information seems to seep in or stick with you even though it’s presented in a sort of interesting way and no one learned anything. This was proven at the end of the tour when they asked us what we learned and a little British boy said, «There was once something called the London Bridge.»
We went further to the horror-​house portion and it was fun and silly as we expected. The rock monster, spiders, and various ghouls that jump out at you are laughable. Everyone has to put their hands on each others shoulders and follow in a line so if you don’t like touching strangers skip this. They also have a «guardian angel» path for people who scare more easily. Not sure how that was since we didn’t take it.
This thing isn’t really worth the money but it does make you laugh and we had a good time. Definitely could’ve skipped it though. Visiting the Tower of London is a MUCH scarier time! Now that place really gave me the chills. And I heard a history buff dad from India getting pretty pissed off after the «experience».

Es wurde damit geworben, dass dies der Grußseligste Ort in London sei! Und sie hatten damit absolut recht!
Vor dem Eingang war eine Guillotine aufgebaut!
Wer sich traute sich mit dem Kopf darunter zu legen und sich von seiner Begleitung köpfen zu lassen bekam freien Eintritt!
Es war natürlich klar dass uns nichts passieren konnte, doch wir bezahlten lieber!
Wir bekamen erklärt, dass die London Bridge Experience aus zwei Teilen besteht:
Im ersten Teil bekommt man zwar sehr gruselig aber gleichzeitig auf eine sehr lustige Weiße die Entstehung der Bridge und die Gründe warum es da so furchtbar spuckt!
Der zweite Teil besteht aus den London Tombs.
Also ein Bergwerk unter der Brücke!Und das ist der schlimme Teil, denn es sind ausschließlich lebende Darsteller (auch im ersten Teil) die einen zwar nicht anfassen dürfen, aber furchtbar geschminkt sind und einem sehr sehr nahe kommen!
Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich noch einmal den zweiten Teil mitmachen würde, obwohl ich ihn schon kenne, aber jede Geisterbahn ist ein Kinderfest dagegen!
