The Green Room has become one of the best kept secrets in Lewisham. It has a homely athmosphere with nice friendly staff. The clients are friendly too and it boasts a great reputation for Guinness, I tried it, and it is one of the best pints I have tasted in a long time. Another great point about the Green Room is that it seems to be trouble free. Well named for it’s chill out factor and maybe old style but friendly and welcoming.

As a pub landlord in the local area you get to know who the dickheads are. And there was not many in here while still having that spit and saw dust vibe. Strange place and decoration for a pub too. But the staff and the Guinness are not to be argued with so get in have a pint and a chat in this very overlooked pub.

Formally Temple Bar the interior has had a lick of paint and they now stock white wine but otherwise little has changed here — the atmosphere is still friendly, the football’s still(usually) on the telly and the pool table’s still downstairs. Pop to the cornershop down the road for great Sri Lankan takeaway after a few jars.
