Britta Kjerkegaard, the Danish-​born fashion designer behind The Couture Gallery label specialises in creating exquisite couture wedding dresses.

Her signature style is elegant silk gowns of timeless design with hidden corsets that give you the perfect figure. Embellishments are done by hand and include lace appliqué, beading and silk flowers, adding romance and uniqueness.

History

Established in 2003.

The Couture Gallery label was first launched by Danish fashion designer Britta Kjerkegaard after years of working for top couture designers in Denmark, Italy and the UK. In 2003 she opened her first private showroom in South London.

Three years later The Couture Gallery boutique opened its doors in Kensington housing both the workrooms and shop showcasing the designers signature collections of show stopping couture wedding gowns.

Inspired by the female silhouette, beautiful colours and luxurious materials, Danish designer Britta Kjerkegaard creates her couture gowns from a place of true passion.

She builds the collections combining her Scandinavian heritage of clean lines and sublime craftsmanship with a natural love of delicate laces, sumptuous silks and intricate embellishments, achieving a signature look of timeless elegance with a sensse of drama.

The wedding gowns are all made bespoke and created in-​house by the designer and her team, enabling Britta to meet her clients needs and wishes throughout.

By offering a personal service from first sketch to finished gown Britta ensures the couture process is an exciting and inspiring journey, resulting in a truly unique gown for each individual bride.
