The Carphone Warehouse

I came here to get a SIM card for my iPhone, and was greeted with great service. The people at the counter were friendly and knowledgeable, and were able to recommend a plan for local calls & texts as well as data. They didn’t try to upsell me, which I always appreciate, and it was an easy process.

I came here to purchase a phone when on vacation from the US and they were very helpful with explaining all the prepaid options. Yeah, I’m kind of biased to the fact that UK celluar service is so much cheaper than it is in the US, but all that aside, it was a quick, easy good value here. The only annoyance came along when I couldn’t make my purchase using my credit card. There is a chip and pin system that isn’t used in the US that they require for purchases over 100 pounds, so even though they take credit I had to run across the street for cash.

The Cars must have been singing about Carphone Warehouse, because, for real, they had just what I needed! And I didn’t have to waste any time while at Carphone Warehouse.
I needed a smartphone while in London and some Unilocalers recommended checking out this place. Jimmy was the man! He helped me pick out a reasonably priced Android pay-​as-​you-​go phone. It had most of what I needed, didn’t cost an arm and a leg and it was activated before I left the store.
Loved having the «mobile» while I was there because my US Droid X cannot be used overseas due the system and lack of a removable SIM card. With my Samsung, I looked just like everyone else… looking down at the screen on the phone rather that watching where I was going. Awesome!

I needed a new charger for my mobile, but seeing as they were £15 and new mobiles were £9.50, I walked out with both a fresh charger and a new phone. As quick and simple as it gets.
