This place sells excellent pastries — I think it’s a great take-away. I’ve eaten in quite a few times — it’s very good, but very very expensive and though I enjoy the street view, it does get a bit too busy for me. Well worth it, though!

Good place to stop for quick lunch or a coffee with cake if in the area. It can be a bit pricey but the cakes are really good, so could add a nice touch to your shopping day in the area :) Its downside was that we were not too pleased with the service and so we asked to take the OPTIONAL charge out of the bill, which the manager ended up making a big fuss about and asked the waitress to apologise for what we had considered a very cold and distant attitude. However, we just wanted to pay and leave and it ended up being very uncomfortable with the manager insisting on us explaining to the waitress what it was that we had not liked, etc, which was completely unnecessary and we refused to do for a while until we felt kind of forced to do it. But hopefully that is a one-off and overall it is a nice place.

Had dinner here last night with girlfriend. Food good(she had sea bass, I had pork chop) an fair wine. Service OK. Would have been too expensive, but they do 50% off food with Taste London, which makes it bearable. We paid about £65 for mains, puds and booze(4 glasses of wine)

Four of us popped in for a quick bite in the middle of a Friday afternoon, the place is modern and clean but I thought a bit on the expensive side bearing in mind what we had. Two of us had a burger one with blue cheese the other had something else on it, my partner had an Avocado salad which although very nice was a bit on the skimpy side, her sister had Pork Escalope. With drinks the total bill was £80.00 which I though a bit steep for a quick snack and will next time opt for the Grapes up the road.

Very very smart coffee and tea shop, modern design. I’ve always been in the mornings and it’s always busy, great cakes and hot breakfast menu. Also good views of the street, which adds to the interest, there is a downstairs area, but it’s not as good, unless of course you don’t want to be seen. Far better than Harrods.
