History

Established in 2011.

A stones throw from Farringdon Station and adjacent to Exmouth Market The Bowler Pub is in the heart of Clerkenwell, offering a blissful venue tucked away for a leisurely lunch, eventful dinner or to watch the game .

At The Bowler Pub and Kitchen we have spent many years researching pubs, restaurants and any establishment that serves alcohol and food under one roof, it wasn’t a horrible job mind you, but we were still working! We wanted to find out what people wanted on their food menu’s when dining out, what dishes were time-​honoured favourites, like Beer Battered Fish and Chips and which dishes delighted peoples senses like Roast Pork Belly with honey crackling, horseradish mash and apple sauce. Most of all we wanted to create a menu which everyone could enjoy, a menu which had all your favourite things on, so why don’t you come down.

The venue is open plan, allowing area’s for groups or intimate dinners in front of the fire place. All area’s are also available for private hire.

Lee has recently take over The Bowler Pub and Kitchen after spending the last 20 years in the industry working for companies such as Jamie Olvers’ Fifteen and The Palm. Lee is both passionate about food and drinks as he started his career behind the bar at TGI Friday’s and has at leats 100 cocktails and smoothie recipes in his head — feel free to test him.
