The Barnsbury Dry Cleaners

Does the job. Never done laundry there so can’t say if it’s expensive or not (I would tend never to give laundry out, or if I did I’d choose one of the Chapel Market laundrettes).
I have had clothes dry cleaned, suits pressed and mending done here before. It’s not the cheapest in the world, but it’s handy and quick if you ask them nicely.
The chap who works there is a nice guy too — I live opposite so we bump into each other all the time and have a friendly word.

I tried out Barnsbury Road Cleaners because they are right across the street from my apartment. I went to get some laundry washed, two shirts dry-​cleaned and a couple buttons replaced. At first the man there wanted to charge me for 3 loads. I told the man that it could not possibly be three loads and so we agreed on two, which was still exorbitantly expensive (three times the cost at a nearby place I later discovered). The clothes were ready the next day as promised, but when I looked through them, all of my whites had been stained pink from a red duvet that I also had washed. Obviously they did not do two separate loads as agreed. The man refused to take any responsibility whatsoever and to even attempt to remove the stains. I was astounded at the complete lack of respect and refusal to accept any shred of responsibility for what they obviously had done. I will never use them again and I would urge others not to as well.
