Tesco Express

I’m hungry. It’s 3am here in London and my body clock is somewhere between Shanghai, San Diego and Kalamazoo MI.
I contemplate room service but I need a quick fix. Tesco to the rescue! Like a ⁷⁄₁₁ on steroids without the fountain drinks. Ten minutes later I’m back in my hotel room with a bag of sandwiches, chocolate and other assorted goodies well beyond what I require to stop the hunger pangs.
Lots of great sandwiches, fresh fruit and other groceries available here ²⁴⁄₇. Self check out is simple and other than having to navigate the late night shelf stockers this is an easy and convenient place to come and find some late night munchies.

Very convenient location of the store. Great service, i can always find what i need. Really reasonable prices.

I’m gonna give this place four stars because it saved my life. Opened late at night and so convenient, plus they have Krispy Kremes!

The aisles are designed to force you to walk through every aisle in order to get out. Sneaky little bastards. Decent selection in a quick serv format.

Clean, and conveniently located on Gloucester Street.

No no no! We went here on numerous occasions while staying in Chelsea. The last time we visited this establishment we had an issue with self check out. My husband paid with his card and for some unknown reason, the self check out machine shut down. The manager promptly came over and said he would have to restart the machine before we could leave with our purchases. 43 minutes later, they were STILL trying to figure out the issue with the machine. This store is over crowded, and every day the food selection is so picked through that you would be better off going ANY where else. Thanks.

Usually very busy with tourist because of it’s location and the fact that it’s open 24 hrs

I love Tesco! It’s dirt cheap and always open. 2L of bottled water for 61p, you say? Way cheaper than room service at the hotel! Also, the only place I could obtain er feminine products at midnight on Saturday — for 1 pound. About ½ what I would pay in the US for the same product (after currency conversion).
The line is long, but moves very fast.

While in London, went to this Tesco almost every day for something or another — snacks, sandwiches, batteries, bottled water — the lines get long in the mornings but they move quickly. Their groceries are much cheaper than they are in the states, so I got a little overly happy buying stuff. It saved us money from not having to eat out as much. No complaints here — love Tesco!

being a sunday night, this was the nearest option for me to grab some groceries.
it certainly helps that this a true 24hrs joint.(one star)
for those with donuts craving, they have a krispy kreme corner just for you!
the baby plum tomatoes and the brazil nuts that i bought were surprisingly lovely.
the availability of numerous checkout counters won it another star.
now for what i dont like:
1) the shop layout is cramp and very messy!!!
2) it tends to be way too crowded.
3) limited product offerings
maybe this is not a fair review, as i personally like to take my own sweet time and go from aisle to aisle to peruse what’s on offer.
whereas in here, i feel very rushed and cant do my thing in peace!
just an efficient express that’s not an enjoyable experience.

The store was just opposite the tube station, It was small but offered nearly everything you need. The price was slightly more expensive than the big tesco but still cheaper than the nearby waitrose. One small problem with this store is some stuff were easily out of stock. Still high recommended.

This Tesco Express store is opposite Gloucester Road tube station. It sells many supermarket products, only more expensive than nearby Sainsbury but cheaper than Waitrose. The shop is quite small, and sometimes the queues are quite long. I try to avoid it unless I am desparate for some milk on the way home.
