This place is a joke! How do you tell someone you don’t make a dirty martini when you have a full bar. Also the girl working seemed less than stellar. Also forgot the food we ordered. The«Bar Support» person as he called himself was a complete asshat.

I quite like this place, its off Regent Street, in an off street almost like within its own plaza. Great choice of food and drink, with a decent cocktail menu. And that dance floor, amazing, its like standing in a giant rubiks cube. Good tunes, good times.

Nice hidden place in central. It has happy hours and a big dancefloor. They play pop radio hits but its good to go have a few drinks and have a dance. They tend to have quite a lot of stag-dos and hen parties. And the best thing is there’s no charge if you pay with card!

Let’s start frankly; if you don’t like the loud-and-cheesy music, nightclub-cum-after work bar vibe, this is not your place. I for one am not a fan of such atmosphere; throwing in a large crowd of obnoxious suits on-the-pull, exceedingly expensive drinks(even by Piccadilly’s standards) and one of my biggest hates, «bathroom attendants» into the mix — you get the sort of place I normally avoid. So why was I here? Well, it was Christmas season and everywhere was packed, yet this place is huge and had plenty room for a small group of work colleagues from around the corner. Or, to make more excuses, I didn’t know it would be this obnoxious. But there are a couple of good things — for one, Strawberry Moons never claims to be anything but as I have just described — and many like this sort of night out, so would definitely enjoy this place. I mean, it even has a light up dance floor! The décor in general seems out of place(or rather, out of time) but I doubt many people come here to admire the walls. They come here to drink — as I said they are very expensive, but did have a happy hour(half price drinks) for the duration of our visit — so good deals can be found. Unless you like ale. There is no ale, at all.

This place is hilarious. I ended up there as it’s close to the husband’s office and a few of his workmates thought they’d try someplace new. None of us had any idea of what was to come. On the door(at about 6:30pm), they were properly checking IDs(on one of those ID scanning software thingamajigs) of men, yet women were ushered through. Ugh. Sexist. Upon entering, my ears were blasted with very very loud music of mostly the crappy-not-cheesy-and-fun 80s variety. And then I saw it — the light up dance floor. While it remained mostly empty throughout our stay, when it was populated it seemed to be either by middle-aged office workers clutching a drink in one hand and a handbag in the other and awkwardly moving, or teenagers who seemed exited to be allowed into a bar. The whole experience was just odd. Drinks were very expensive. The pint glasses were plastic. The music was awful. The décor was dated. If pushed, I’d return in a pinch of nowhere else to go, but there are so so so so so so many far better options nearby, that I can’t imagine going back of my own accord.

Bit cheesy and studenty(not that that’s a bad thing!) but the drinks aren’t extortionate at all considering the location. Enjoyable.

After all my years in London, I’d still never been to Moons though some might say that’s a good thing but I do like a bitta cheese and I love a boogie. My friend and I went here on Friday night armed just for that, and she’s become a bit of a regular to the extent where the toilet attendant(who’s really nice, helpful and friendly by the way) commented on her outfit as she recognised her!!) We got there well into the Happy Hour — which is 50% off so pretty good — and stocked up on our drinks then, getting in about 5 pitchers on Rum Punch before 9pm and then just drank tap water. I have to, like other reviewers, that their cocktails are pretty rubbish and extremely watered down, I’ve never seen so much ice in a drink for a start. The service was very mediocre with some really dozy girls serving, and I was really annoyed when I had to wait ten minutes to be given my change by the girl who’d been serving us for most of the night and even when we tried to get her attention and another bar girl’s they ignored us or asked us to wait which I thought was really rude. The crowd are a strange mix of workers, youngsters there for their first night out it seemed, oldies, and a few hen do’s. We had a good laugh and danced all night which was the point of our night so that was fine by me. Not sure I’ll rush back but as long as you go with pretty low expectations and just want a good dance and laugh with your friends then you won’t be disappointed. Located on Heddon Street which is off Regent Street and it’s only a short walk to Piccadilly Circus or Oxford Circus tube stations.

Yes. The perfect end to a stag do. A stage for the pilot-uniform-sporting stag to endlessly cavort around, and sensibly thrown out at 3am for running amok on the furniture. I think it’s always a good end to a night to be thrown out for mischief.

I’ve been there twice, but I’m not coming back. The crowd there isn’t nice. The service is very slow. The music is mainstream + old stuff. Boring!

I knew it was going to be cheese before I went… I went here because I wanted cheese… and not the kind you put on crackers! Sometimes you just want a completely ridiculous night out and that is what Strawberry Moons is. It is on Heddon Street, which is just super cute anyway with a bunch of trendy restaurants, bars, clubs, hangouts, etc. So you can have dinner next door and then head to Strawberry Moons to dance the night away. You’ll most likely get carded, so bring ID otherwise you could get turned away. There is a cover charge, I remember paying £8. When we walked in, it was PACKED! It was difficult to get up to the bar, but when I finally got there, I got service very quickly! I did ask for bottles of beer, but did end up with two pints… not a huge loss, but difficult to dance with a glass of lager in your hand. The music playing when we arrived was… well it wasn’t stuff you wanted to dance to. Actually it was a bit boring. Just when I was ready to call it quits and go somewhere else, «Billy Jean» by Michael Jackson came on… that’s when we made our way to the dance floor! You cannot bring your drinks onto the dance floor so pick yourself a spot next to the railing where there is a bit of a ledge to put your drinks on and go for it. Beware: You could lose your shoe on the dance floor because it is that sticky! Yes, some of the music was super cheesy, but they balanced it out with some good beats. What I really enjoyed were the moments when the Strawberry Moons bar staff would get up on the«stage» and do a little number! They all looked like they were having a good time and I think that energy was contagious. The only thing that bothered me was that these ladies were walking around offering shots… but only to the men. Not once did I see them offer shots to a woman! Lame. We had a great night and I think if you go knowing it is cheesy and you don’t take it seriously, it is a good night out, but if you go in thinking it is some posh, trendy club where they play ambient beats and everyone is lounging on something that looks like a bed, drinking overpriced fancy shmancy cocktails… then of course you’re going to be disappointed!

Cool little club in the trendy Mayfair district of London. They have people from all over the world on a Friday night and great drink prices comparered to most others(at least they are closer to american prices if you are from across the pond). The only strange practice I noticed here was women asking men to «give them their panties». When I agreed the girl took my draweres and dropped them and started dancing on the floor(kind of cool actually). Later on I saw an older gentleman who had the same thing but looked like he was commanding a boat with seven or so girls on the floor rocking side to side in perfect synchronization. Only downside was my friend handles his liquer poorly and got himself kicked out. If you are staying in the vicinity of Picidilly I recommend it.

Strawberry Moons is your typical cheese club. Overpriced covercharge Overpriced drinks Overpriced coat check Overpriced fun Oh, and«entertainment.» There was some tasteless, softcore striptease that went down onstage. However, i’ve got to give it to one of the dancers who truely was talented. But she deserves a proper gig.

On a recent hen night, 17 of us stopped off here as our first port of call on the«Party Bus». It’s the ideal place to start for a hen night as the music is seriously cheesy, the dancefloor is drinks free(so no sticky floor!) and the bar staff are friendly and humorous. They also surprised us with a stage dance to a few of the more popular hits. Don’t go there sober though. It’s packed to the rafters and full of hen and stag nights.

Yes it can be cheesy but frankly on the occassions I have gone to Strawberry Moon I have danced myself silly… silly I tell you. Yes some of the cocktails seem a little watered down –at least you wil be hydrated on the packed dancefloor. Yeah just stick to the bottled stuff. Did I mention they have a dance pole… now that my stripping days are behind me — it was all they could do to get me off after 5 back to back dances… man I miss the days when I used to go go dance in illegal Belgian 80’s clubs. what? sorry?. Go with a group honestly you will have more fun that way.

When I lived in London during college, this was our number one favorite place to go out. Centrally located and a GREAT dancing scene. They play everything from current pop to Bön Jovi, ABBA, Gloria Estefan, Journey, and the like. Some of my favorite dancing memories were made here. If I ever get back to London, I WILL be returning to Strawberry Moons.

Situated just off Regent Street. An interesting venue in respect to the shape. I expected it to be much bigger. However it is a rather intimate club with two bars, a few boothed seating areas and a DJ box. They have a range of different themed nights if you check out their website prior to attending. The clientele are in their early twenties. The music is usually very cheesy which suits the end of the night when everyone is very drunk and all singing in big groups with their hands in the air. I have been a few time due to Christmas parties and work functions. It is not somewhere I would go out of choice but if you are after a non-pretentious atmosphere with music you can dance to and drinks you will enjoy then this is the place for you.

Went here for a Christmas party last year and that is what it is probably good for. I ventured back recently to see if all was well in cheeseville. As I said good for parties or for groups of people on a night out who just want a bit of fun without having to think about it too much or take it too seriously. Ideal for a Hen night I guess, The cheesey music would go down well and I have pictures running through my mind of blonde — 20 something’s dancing around there handbags and one of them being out of it by the end of the night. Yes it is a club, yes it is fun, No it is not high end or in anyway exclusive. Long queues to get in sometimes so go early or make a reservation.

Good if you want to toss your hair and wiggle your hips to some very cheesy beats. It gets incredibly packed, which makes it hard getting to the bar, or getting from a to b for that matter. But, it’s still a pretty fun place to go as it’s completely unpretentious and a good to just let loose and dance yourself silly. Definitely go with a group of friends as this kind of place is more fun that way.

With a name like Strawberry Moons I expected this place to be like something out of care bears but, on the contrary, Strawberry Moons can get quite raucous at times being quite popular with stag and hen nights. Located just a short walk from either Oxford Circus or Piccadilly tube stations this place is a typical West-End dissapointment. The drinks are quite expensive, the music for the most part is dire and the venue itself is so stylised that you almost wish that someone would vomit just to add a bit of character. I can see why this place appeals to people, it does what a club should and pulls in the punters with alluring photos of scantily clad women and drinks deals but once inside you could, in reality, be in any one of a number of places. Not my cup of tea.
