This Starbuck site is not a good example of a well operating Starbucks. Serious problems with the receipt machine. So much so that they just slammed the lids on the machine, moved the paper roll in and out, and told the other cashier to make a receipt. They then missed my coffee order. Simply put, well ordered KAOS! But, the tourists. What do they really know? They are happy as hell! Starbucks, Woo Hoo!

Aaah! My first one Starbuck coffee! A real crush! We walked with my spouse around the Tower of London last April when an envy of coffee arose. What lucky! Starbuck was just near! We were attracted first of all, by the important choice of cakes and drinks. For me who cannot drink coffee, even if I wanted it, what a chance of a lifetime! To start with, the waiters were really patient and comprehensive. Because with our level of English, it was a little bit difficult to understand each other. In spite of the world which there was(tourist place obliges), they had the patience to explain everything to us well clearly and slowly. ^^ So, i finished by order one«chocolate Vanilla spice hot«and the lover a big coffee to take out. Although the space was cosy with its armchairs and its sofa, we preferred to delight in our drinks near of the Thames, near the Tower of London, because the sun had decided to visit us and to warm us. And as a little girl, I was quite satisfied to discover how to drink through a lid! ^^ Set apart that I found the simple and ingenious idea of the small hole in a hermetic lid. The hot chocolate, wouha! What slaughter! A taste so sweet in mouth, neither too warmly, nor too cold. And this little taste of vanilla… Just perfect! Mamamia! I shall have drunk well it of liters! And for the coffee, according to my spouse, a pure marvel! A real coffee with fresh grains molded on the spot. None of the bitterness and a powerful aroma in mouth! To finish, it is for this day when we fell in love Coffe Starbuck.

Well it’s official, the coffee couldn’t be worse here. Had three cups at different times and all bad. They over froth the milk so your coffee is lightweight and over cook the coffee. BUT if you are looking for a place to grab a few minutes respite from sightseeing, or log in to check how to get to the next attraction on your sightseeing list this is a good spot. There is a toilet(don’t expect it to be clean though), WiFi and it’s actually quite pleasant inside.

I was not particularly impressed with this location. DH and I went here twice in one day because he needed a morning jolt of caffeine and later because it was happy hour(please don’t judge, I swear when we are in the US we don’t go this often). We had the same cashier during both transactions and she is not what I was used to for a Starbucks barista. I paid with the Starbucks app on the phone and there appeared to be some trouble understanding if the card was accepted or not. This was no big deal and took just an extra minute or two to sort out. Later when we came back for happy our we read that the sign specifies ally said from 3pm to 5pm or 6 pm if you are a starbucks reward member which we are(hello 2x in one day!). The fraps were ringing up at fu price and the barista told me to just scan the car because the 50% off came off automatically. Well it did not. She tried telling me that the extended happy hour must not be valid and there was nothing she could do. I again pointed out the Clearly marked sign. She reluctantly asked another associate who informed her she had to press the discount option on the register and a refund had to be issued and the transaction had robe re-rung with no apology for the inconvenience. This location was pretty busy and the tables were not cleared very well. I believe this is to be expected given that the location is right next to the Tower of London. We would come back if we had to, but would seek other locations if possible.

Worst Starbucks experience in London so far. Some of the barista are unfriendly, even rude. One of them cannot even keep in mind what’s been ordered and asks for the receipt multiple times in a tone that is beyond impoliteness. If he is unable to handle a crowd, why is he working at a Starbucks at a crowded place like Tower Hill? The toilets are a disaster. Sanitation fail. On top, on a day with about 35 degrees they had run out of ice. Okay, no surprise considering the weather, but please — can’t they be prepared for this on a summer day?! The rude barista, mentioned above already, did not even apologize, just saying«no ice, no cold drinks». The younger female saffer however apologized very politely later. She made me an iced latte with their last 3 ice cubes. Thanks to her.

Don’t be fooled by the nice interior, better stay away. There is no WiFi and staff are rude. I have gotten used to the idea that words like thanks and please should not be part of any self-respecting barista’s vocabulary, especially if they are male, spanish and remotely attractive. But shouldn’t they be able to make coffee, amigo?! It does not matter, most of the people who come here are tourists and unlikely to come again, whether they liked it or not.
