No working power sockets at all! But their machines behind the cointer are still working. Did they switch them off to save on electricity bills or make sure customers don’t stay too long?

Interesting stat about global coffee giant Starbucks: the price of coffee per metric tonne is approximately £883 a tonne, which means the profit margins on a three pound cuppa coffee are substantial. I was not overly impressed with the service at this particular outlet, the queues were lengthy and the smiles limited. I noticed the bin they were using was full up with some plastic rubbish, uninviting for regular customers or great first impressions here. The vanilla hot chocolate was heavy on cream, but sickly sweet. I’m not convinced many of the non-healthy options on the menu would de-slim our nation. Britain — a heavyweight contender for the European obese crown? Certainly.
