This is an Ember Inn and popular with locals and passing trade. The food is good and there is usually offers like a meal and a drink for £5.95 before 17:00 with a good choice of quality cask ales and affordable, quality wines.
There is no thumping music, cask ale you can try before you buy, and if you catch the landlord in a good mood he will have your favourite beer put on.
