Excellent. Very smooth process for an eye test and if there is no change in one’s prescription they don’t try to fiddle you into buying new glasses. When one does need new lenses they are much cheaper than prices I have been quoted at Dollond & Aitchison. Love the company magazine that features some competitions.

I felt bamboozled but satisfied at the same time.
I had an advertisement for a 5 pound eye test at any specsavers. Came here, just walked in, and they were able to schedule me in a few minutes for one. awesome!
Told the doctor that I was told by another shop that I needed a prescription written out if I wanted to purchase contact lenses. (SKIP TO ASTERISK FOR SHORT VERSION)
«oh you want a contact lense eye test? that’s different, and 20 pounds»
«oh, I also read also can give me a 5 day trial pack of contacts for free» (at the time I just wanted some contacts for the next few days until I got my paycheck)
«oh yes we can do that but we would need to make sure the fit and prescription is right on you so here, put on these contacts, come back in an hour, and we’ll see if they’re ok»

…One Hour Later…
The doctor called me to the back right away. Awesome! (She’s been super friendly this entire time)
«ok they seem fine, would you like me to give you those free trials or just order a monthly supply of lenses»
«I guess I’ll just get the monthly supply then»
At Register:
* «Alright that will be 42 pounds»
«buwah???»
“well that’s 5 pounds for the eye test, 20 pounds for the contact lense test, and 17 pounds for left eye contacts (cause they ran out of the right side prescription but I got some lefts anyway)“
God Damn it I didn’t intend on paying that much today but it’s friggin too late now isn’t it.
But the service was pleasant and super fast. AND they will sell you single daily disposal contact lenses should you need an emergency one while you’re out for the day or something.
