Speck Mobile are one of the lovely traders at Kerb. They specialize in Austrian food from schnitzel to dumplings to strudel. I’m a huge fan of fried and breaded anything(thanks to my grandmother’s and great-aunt’s delicious fried chicken) so I decided to go for the schnitzel. On the day I went they were serving chicken or pork(or eggplant if you’re a veggie). I asked which was the best, and they gave me an emphatic answer of pork! Instead of traditional-style, I went for burger style on a bun with lettuce, tomato and some sort of oozy sauce. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly. Crisp on the outside, soft in the middle and not too dry. There was a nice peppery aftertaste to it as well. It goes really well on a burger, and the bun they use is really tasty. Add in some cool tomato and lettuce and you have a winner. I’ll have to try their dumplings sometimes as they looked fantastic. It’s another great Kerb trader to get delicious street food from.
