Out of soy milk? Crap! Rough day at work and the two beers in the fridge will definitely not suffice? You bet! Fortunately, this Spar is just down the block from me and a quick walk when I don’t feel like going back to the Tesco or Sainsbury that are right next to each other.
To my surprise the first time I went here, the store is much bigger than it looks on the outside. They actually have a wide selection of stuff and even have a little deli in the back.
Granted I don’t come here often, but when I do, I can always find what I want. The staff seem friendly and aren’t afraid to show you where something that you can’t find is.

Supermarket which to me feels like it’s on a motorway forecourt. Loads of standard ‘names’, all well chosen to cover instant needs. Plus extra bits and pieces like a bar with hot pies etc, and lots of magazines and newspapers. There are some none-​English foods, but it’s ‘safe’ stuff like feta and noodles.
The sort of place which is annoyingly soulless, but where, if it’s local, you find yourself picking the up the odd thing on a regular basis.
