I always have been a goody two shoes when it comes to going to the Dentist’s and having regular check-up’s, even though I find it unpleasant particularly having painful treatments; wisdom teeth pain and extraction and train track braces during my teens, as if they’re not painful enough! However something happened when I moved to London and I didn’t find a good NHS Dentist. Until now. I finally registered at my ‘local’ after my flatmate recommended it and man, I have to say it was a lovely experience. Firstly, it is only a quick stroll from my flat — okay it won’t be like that for everyone as you don’t all live here with me, it would get a tad cosy, so fair enough. Secondly, the Receptionist was so so nice — usually any sort of health related Receptionist is either moody; bored; rude and scares the bejesus out of you. This lovely lady was the complete opposite and she was really helpful to boot too. Thirdly, the Dentist — Patrick — was fabulous! He was friendly; happy go lucky; chirpy — even at 8.30am looking in my gob at my nashers; chatty and we had a right old natter about where I was from and the fact that he was going near then in a couple of months time to a gig — so a cool Dentist to boot! — and I was then offering him travel tips! Fourthly, the Dental Hygenist was lovely and friendly too. As you can tell, I’m a fan and I hope you will be too!
