This is where I take my baby, and also my first real experience with an NHS GP practice.
And overall — pretty solid!
The Children’s Clinic is Thursdays in the afternoon (I believe 1−3pm) — you can have them weighed, ask general questions regarding infant health/development, etc. They’ll usually refer you to the GP for most things but you’ll at least know if they are putting on weight and have a second set of eyes on them.
For more specific concerns where a doctor is needed, I’ve never had a problem making an appointment by phone and the reception is courteous. Often times they are able to get me in the next day. The later it gets in the day the more of a chance you’ll wait, but even at 540pm appointment slot recently I only waited til about 6:10…really not bad all things considering. (Although my baby disagreed). Also, I do like the text reminders for appointments. Pretty high tech for NHS!
My registration appointment was very easy and the intake coordinator very friendly. Myself, my husband and my son all go here and so far, so good. That’s all we can ask for I suppose!

Very pleasant surgery. Reception staff is not the friendliest one but the doctors seem to be knowledgeable, nice and caring. I have needed them twice and they have been efficient and helpful.
The appointments seem to be more or less on time. I rarely waited more than 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment. You have to book in advance but they do give you an option to be seen on the day if urgent. I actually find the level of service at this surgery to be quite good.

I’ve been with this surgery for about five years and rate it highly, particularly compared to my previous, very chaotic practice. The reception staff are friendly and the administration is efficient. The nurses and doctors are all professional and conscientious.
I often have to wait and end up seeing the doctor rather later than my appointment, and the staff are sometimes visibly under time pressure. But then I’ve never been in an NHS institution that wasn’t like that.
