Specialties
Shoreditch Grind is an independent Espresso Bar on London’s Old Street Roundabout serving amazing coffee and food prepared by fanatic baristas in an amazing old building, The Roundhouse.
Established in 2011, our aim is simple… to serve the best coffee we possibly can, alongside delicious pastries, cakes and sandwiches, and to have a little fun doing it.
Our pride and joy is our beautiful La Marzocco coffee machine, to which we add our own blend of beans roasted to our exact specifications, and even more importantly some of the best (mostly Aussie) baristas in London.
By night Shoreditch Grind transforms into one of East London’s coolest cocktail bars serving killer cocktails and of course an amazing Espresso Martini.
We also have a substantial outdoor seating area, and as Shoreditch Grind is also a concept designed to bring music and coffee together, we also have a recording studio upstairs.

David A.
Business Owner
The first of the Grinds, Shoreditch Grind was born when David enlisted his friend Kaz, a DJ from Melbourne with a passion for coffee, to help turn a stand-alone perfectly circular building perched on the edge of Old Street Roundabout, into an Espresso Bar.
David oversees staffing and operations, finding new sites; ensuring the business works, and making sure everyone is happy!
A UCL Economics graduate, David has extensive business experience in previous roles.
