Holy jeepers batman I have finally found a fun little club nightspot where you can cut loose and have a laugh.
On a Friday night mate of mine and I had visited a few soho bars and decided it was time to go and find a wee club. Called upon Unilocal and hey presto we were off.
We found a mad box of banter and drinks… soooo many drinks !! It was a classic night out with lots of dancing and banter!

Olé!
Screams the crowd as the band mesmerise them with a classic flamenco song.
It’s easy to feel torn writing about this secret bar as it’s one of the best kept secrets in London and a slice of Spanish culture hidden among the skyscrapers and busy streets. Blink and you’ll miss it.
Down an alley close to one of the busiest stations in London you’ll find this hidden gem of a bar offering quintessential Spanish music and culture straight out of Sevilla, famous for it’s music, in particular Flamenco!
Interesting fact, the road that the bar is on is one of the oldest in London, dating back to Medieval times!
As you head down the stairs into the basement bar you feel as if you have suddenly been transported to a Spanish tavern, albeit one decorated with trinkets common to Andalucia.
There is a full bar with a wide range of Spanish beers that are hard to find in a bar outside of Spain, such as Mahou and Cruz Campo. It’s nice and affordable with friendly bar staff, easy on the eye!
Sevilla Mia opens at 10pm with the band starting around 11.30pm. Remember, this is a Spanish bar so that time is not set in stone! You’ll want to get there early as the place gets packed by about 11pm, mostly with Spanish natives looking for a slice of home or with people wanting to escape the hectic streets above and become immersed in the Spanish ambiance.
Dance, drink and enjoy the night away at one of the city’s best secret bars!

Okay so you’ve probably figured out by now i’m a fan of the non commercial overly priced dive bars, that not to say i dislike pretentious or high end places, however to get to know a genre of any kind weather it be in music or film or whatever else it maybe i believe you have to look for it in places where the people bleed and breath it, or to put it simply, where you can find it in it’s rawest form! for london and the the Spanish guitar scene, sevilla mia really tops the lot! so be sure to pass by if your in town and you like the guitar!
The musician, usually takes requests from me when i’m as sober as a catholic priest, any time before then… well i don’t think i’ve ever gone in there with non flammable blood, before!!! (reason being)? well it’s a late night bar that closes whenever he can’t be bothered to play any more! so it’s a great one to know if your out and about and in need of a late one!
it is fulla Spaniards, who love to dance the night away, their usually a very friendly crowd and your sure to have a great time!
so remember guys pick your brain for those old gypsy kings songs you used to love, or for those a little more into flamenco, those old songs by camaron, who ever it is you like request if he knows it he’ll be more than happy to play it…
the venue itself is very snug very cool for an intimate night with a small group of your closest buddies! the bar maids are friendly and very lovely may I add!

behind Oxford Street in one of
London’s remaining mediaeval
streets, is this basement Club
where you can — just like in Seville after which it is named —
hear really genuine flamenco while you have a drink
& a plate of tapas. Its a great place to go after the theatre
or when the pubs close because its open till late.
