I got a nice haircut at Semra; different to what I wanted but nice. Customer service was really bad– a vain male hairdresser with no manners at all told me to relax when I asked him politely to be less rough. The price and haircut deserve 4 stars, but customer service 1 from this one guy. However the rest of the staff were nice.

Thanks to the useful reviews by fellow Unilocaler Selma, when I recently moved to the area I didn’t have to trek all the back to my old stomping grounds to have my eyebrows done. I’ve only had my brows threaded here, so keep that in mind… but honestly they do such a great and thorough job for a reasonable price. Definitely recommend that you check them out.

Everyone is so lovely at Semra and I actually enjoy going there to pay money for someone to inflict pain on me… that’s saying something! Sometimes the wait is a little on the long side but this has never been a problem for me because a) I know others think the same, b) they serve you Turkish tea while you wait and c) they have some really old dated Turkish beauty magazines that provide me with chuckles. I’ve only ever had my eyebrows threaded here so can only really comment on their expertise in that area(although I wouldn’t hesitate to go for hair/nails etc). They’re always really thorough and gentle plus the cream they put on at the end is a 30 second massage from heaven.
