Description

Specialties

We specialise in all types of shellfish… Lobster, Oysters, Scallops, Razor Clams, Prawns (grilled prawn skewers in chilli and garlic are very popular), shellfish soup and much more. Our whole organic dressed crabs and soft shell crabs are becomming a favourite. We are now also becoming known for our traditional fish, chips and mushy peas. Another popular dish is whitebait served in breadcrumbs or devilled for that slightly more adventurous person.

History

Established in 2011.

Run by James and Lucy Belton, continuing the family’s 30+ year’s tradition of providing quality English Seafood food to the locale, you will be welcomed to your dining experience with us in simple, homely English style. Seawise was first established by James’s father (Dave) in the form of a traditional seafood stall selling the likes of jellied eels, cockles, whelks, prawns, winkles and much more plus an array of hot food in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. Today this seafood stall has tripled in size and offers many hot and cold dishes to take away or eat in the heated covered area. Dave then opened another branch of Seawise in Palmers Green selling the same menu as Potters Bar but with more dishes added to the menu. Seawise Camden was then opened by Lucy & James (Dave’s son and daughter-in-law) as a small intimate restaurant and takeaway. We are fast becoming known for our freshly cooked Lobsters, Oysters, Razor Clams, Soft shell crabs, Scallops amongst many other dishes.

Business Owner

Seawise is run by husband and wife team James and Lucy Belton. We are very passionate about our rustic little seafood shack in the middle of Camden Town and take enormous pride in what we do. We strive to cook and serve fresh fish in a very friendly environment. All of our staff are friends and family with Lucy’s mother often being the face of the social networking in this very friendly little eatery. This gives a great feeling of friendliness and comfort to those dining with us.
