Science Museum Imax Cinema

Amazing IMAX cinema inside the Science museum! The theatre is equipped with a huge 70 mm IMAX 3D screen (much better than many cinemas in London) and spacious seats that provide a great experience. I love this cinema! I have seen all the movies playing here and my preference is: No 1 Mysteries of the Unseen World” (amazing film), No 2 «Under the Sea», No 3 «Hidden Universe» and No 4 «Robots». All movies are both for adults & kids. The latest of all these movies is the «Robots» but it is the most childish & boring of all four. I definitely suggest you to go and try science museum’s IMAX 3D experience! You’ll love it! effects, costumes, different set designs that you are going to be amazed!

i love the imax cinema… the 3D is amazing, feels and looks so real like you can touch it… i can’t remember the name of movie/​documentary that i watched but the only disappointing thing about it was that it didn’t go for that long i think it was only 30 or 40 mins… i think i would have enjoyed it more if i watched something that went on for a little longer. but the actual cinema it self was nice… good views from anywhere you sit and the seats were comfortable… recommend it to anyone if you have never been to a 3D cinema before…

I love the IMAX Cinema! I went with my GCSE English, Science and Maths groups to see Space Station 3D and it was amazing. Their snack prices are cheap. A small popcorn combo costs £2.50. They also have 3 different types of popcorn. Salted, Sweet or Caramel. I chose the caramel popcorn. It was really nice. Their screen was huge. 80 feet wide and the IMAX Space film is in 15/​70mm. It was amazing.

What can I say? If you are in London sight seeing this is a must for anyone who has an interst in technology. My wife was not as impressed as me but she did addmitt that she enjoyed the experience. Thats a first and recomendation in itself. Go see it.

Not bad, the 3D was nice but the films could have been a bit more gripping! LOL
That said though, if you love your wildlife films then watching them in 3D is as close as you are going to get than diving with them
I would go again just for the experience!

After a long walk through the museum, it’s time to watch a movie!
This IMAX-​cinema is headed in the museum-​building. Nice films are shown on the big screen.
But: the price is heavy, the films are often really bad documentaries, which are really short. The 3D-​effect isn’t really that great
Well, you should visit it once, but one experience should be enough.
Maybe it’ll be better to watch a normal movie.
