History

Established in 1986.

Later in the year, Sapphire was accredited with the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification, for meeting the high business practices standards set by the International Organization for Standardization.

Meet the Business Owner

Ian C.

Business Owner

Ian has been with Sapphire for over 25 years. He joined Sapphire International in 1987 where he set up a channel (VAR) network for SunSystems. In 1993, having led a successful Management Buyout, Ian became the Managing Director of Sapphire Systems.

Sapphire has experienced 20 years of continuous growth under Ian’s leadership; he has overseen the global expansion of the company and the development of 24 hour support for all clients. In 2012 Sapphire was announced as Global Partner of the Year for SAP Business One and Infor10 Financials Business (SunSystems).

Prior to Sapphire, and after graduating with honours in Economics from Newcastle University in 1983, Ian became a Management Accountant with Haringey Health Authority and, later, with Bloomsbury Health Authority.

Ian’s interests include golf and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
