I wanted to have some hair patterns done, and was recommended to come to Sam’s. Glad I did, really lovely staff, reasonable prices and though it might not look fancy, everything was very clean and well maintained.

When you have afro hair it can be a real dilemma trying to find a new barber. Not only must your stylist have skill with a pair of scissors, he/​she must be adept with a shaver too.
When I moved to Camden I had this very dilemma. After a couple of attempts with different barbers and having been butchered on both occasions, I was beginning to despair.
My last throw of the dice took me into Sam’s Unisex hairdresser. First thing I noticed were Afro-​Caribbea men cutting afro hair. This is a good sign. This relaxed me and I could see the attention to detail straight away, in those that went before me.
When it was my turn I felt confident and this confidence was repaid.
I am now a loyal customer of Sam’s. The banter is friendly and welcoming, the hair cuts are slick and professionally done, and it costs £10. AWESOME!
