Ryness is one of those shops you frequently pass by and wonder if you’re ever going to need anything in there. Well I did — I had an outdoor halogen light bulb bust on me and I had to get a replacement. I normally head to Robert Dyas for standard living room/kitchen light bulbs. My local Robert Dyas didn’t have this particular light bulb in stock so I headed over to Ryness near Angel. This shop is listed as a «Trade Counter» which is basically a place where tradesmen can get their light fixtures. However, don’t let this fool you as anyone can go in and buy whatever they’re selling. They had the special halogen light bulb I needed and at a fair price(£3x each). Also I came here on a Sunday. Don’t be fooled by their website as it lists that the shop is closed, however, they are indeed open from 11.00−15.00. I mentioned this to the guy at the shop and they’ve tried to have their website folks change the details but guess they haven’t gotten around to it yet. They’ve been open on Sundays for the last 10 months. It’s great to have this resource in the area… definitely better than having to head out to a Homebase. So if you need any type of lighting, highly recommend Ryness in Angel.

I used their services like 50 times during the past years as I renovated my place. They are very knowledgeable, prices are good and you can order things they don’t have in stock.
