The Upper St branch of Rymans is very small and narrow but well organised. They squeeze a lot into a small space. I find myself going there quite often for stationary suplies. Staff are always very friendly and helpful which is a big plus.

As you might suspect, I’m one of those freaks who loves office supplies. Really, just anything in the organisational department gets me fired up — from the basic drawer separators to the more intense filing solutions — it’s all gold in my book(which is also fully organised, tabbed, and likely colour coordinated). So as you can imagine, I love Ryman. However this particular location is tricky because you literally can’t fit in an aisle if another person is there. Sure I’m still able to find most of the things I need(highlighters, uni-ball pens, A4 paper, staple removers, plug converters…) but I am completely bothered as I type and realise that a store that specialises in organisational solutions is completely unorganised. You open at 8:45 and that’s just odd in itself! How about this solution: I’ll come on down one morning and give you a good ol’ deep clean and re-org. Then I can have office supplies for life. Ok fine, maybe just for a week. Thoughts?

One reason why I am a regular of Ryman’s: they are open on a Sundays! I go there to get my entire regular stationary and always find something supplementary like a date stamp or original metal binding. There is one word of warning, if you do have a Lexmark printer and think you get a cheaper deal with their in house branded cartridges you are wrong. I can’t remember how many times I already had to bring those cartridges back to the store, they do not work — some of them are not filled up or there is a colour missing. Don’t put yourself in this panic situation — I can not believe how rubbish ther ink cartridge quality is. However, up till now, staff always have been very friendly and excepted returns and made a big effort to assist in my needs when I need professional advice concerning CD types and paper quality. Leaving the shop, I sometimes can hardly carry all the folders, paper and CD’s I bought for my stock. Normally I walk home — but not when I have been shopping at Ryman’s. Also — if you are a student you will get discount on pretty much everything!
