I love this place — the food really sings, the wine list is good (and Spanish) and the staff convey the impression that they care (even when the place is heaving). Closed on Mondays; book ahead for a convivial Friday or Saturday evening.

I only tried the sherry and sat at the bar and thats what I’m reviewing.
I had never tried sherry before and had some really great direction from the waitstaff as to what the flavours and textures were like. In the end I chose one and the waiter suggested another type of sherry which I can’t recall now but it was really very good. Like a mix between ports sweetness and the body of red wine.
The food that was passing us by looked so good. We’re definitely coming here for dinner at some point.

I don’t know how to rate this place. The food was amazing but the service terrible. Lets start with the service.
We booked a table for 8pm, despite arriving promptly the staff had over booked the restaurant which left us crammed into a corner. Worse they lied and told us that our table was near ready so that we wouldn’t leave (we later learned the people occupying it hasn’t even ordered). The service continued down a similar path there after.
Next the food. The food at this Sherry bar is amazing genuine Spanish food and a good selection of dishes.
So food = 4.5 stars
