I LOVE this shop. I’ve been coming here with my Mum since I was little and would always be fascinated but the shelves upon shelves of fabrics. Now I’m all grown up and into clothes making/knitting/crocheting etc I really appreciate how amazing this shop is. There’s a whole curtain section upstairs, buttons, iron ons, lace, elastic, yarn, satin, cotton, denim, fabric for table cloths, netting, patterns… EVERYTHING! It’s always pretty busy when I go but staff are always on hand to help. Will always come here for my crafting needs!

This place is a local gem. I went in there on one sodden Monday looking for a particular sort of tweed, having only found it for £40 a metre in a load of those annoying Scottish shops you only get on Regent Street — you know the ones — the name starts with«House of». Anyway, I slouched in here expecting a pile of faux fur and badly frayed lycra, and was delighted to find the place stocked from floor to ceiling with virtually anything anyone could ever want. Including the very tweed I wanted, made of wool, for just over a fiver a metre! Needless to say, this has now become my home-from home. Want threads, buttons, findings, zips, upholstry fabric, dressmaking fabric, that weird plastic-y stuff they make tablecloths out of in bad cafs — you name it, they’ve got it. The staff are great too.
