It’s not going to win«steakhouse of the year,» but this is a nice experience — especially for those who haven’t visited a churrascaria. As far as meat quality, I found it slightly above average. The salad and hot food buffets were okay. However, the staff was very nice. They were patient and accommodating, even singing«happy birthday» to my husband! The prices were also more reasonable than our favorite churrascaria in San Francisco, which is always a plus. My husband enjoyed it, which was the goal.

A lively and exciting atmosphere and the food was tasty — although the beef was a little too tough and tasteless. Staff were attentive too and I like the tabs that you used to show if you wanted more or were taking a break! However, I was positioned on a corner and was continually bumped into by staff and customers all evening, very annoying! Also it is a little overpriced for what it actually is and the salad bar is quite average.

Enjoyed the salads and dressings the best. The meats were tender, but just salted before cooking(rather than marinated) so it wasn’t as flavoursome as I was hoping for. Some of the hot dishes were good, the others were average. If I return I will opt for just the salads and hot dishes not the grilled meats

This is a total ‘shame on me’ moment and I accept full responsibility for my complete moronic choice, so here it goes: This place has SHIT reviews, and I don’t remember what idiotic part of me decided, oh well, the sister restaurant in Angel is really good so there must be a mistake here. Of course, no mistake. Had I decided to use my brain and taken into consideration what my fellow Unilocalers were saying, I would have spared myself a night of mediocre, fatty and nervy meats, bland and scarce side dishes and watered down drinks. SOPLEASE, don’t be like me. Save yourself the drama of a poo dinner and DONT go to Rodizio Rico in Bayswater. It is absolutely not nice at all.

SO.MUCH.MEAT! *falls into food coma* I couldn’t eat it fast enough. I would like to say that because I’m not the fastest eater and we came it at a slow time, I didn’t get to try everything because I still had tons on my plate. That being said the various kinds of meat I did have were delicious. Their rice and beans were quite nice and my vegetarian friend had enough options to not feel strange being there. Got to try Brahma beer for the first time, which wasn’t bad. I think it’s good practice for Rio 2014. And a cute locale.

When I went to Rodizio Rico last weekend, I actually wanted to get a proper steak house. But then I finally went to this Brazilian restaurant. It was busy, and I was seated downstairs and well, downstairs it just doesn’t look by far as nice as upstairs. I went for the all grilled meat you can eat option and was curious what I would get there. The sides buffet is really nice, with rice, fries, chicken lasagna, cheese rolls, salad, and some more things. When it comes to the meat, it’s difficult for me to tell. Some cuts I had were tasting really good, others not so much. The chicken with bacon was just overly salty. And some of the cuts did simply not meet my taste. In general, if you don’t like meat with a lot of fat, this is perhaps not the best place to go. I cannot say that it didn’t taste good in general, but for the price I paid, I’d rather go to another steak house and get a fillet steak. As a dessert I ordered the Brigadeiro, described as rich chocolate mousse in the menu it tasted great, but to my understanding it was much more like pudding than like mousse, and I was looking forward to some fluffy mousse At the end I was full, but a bit disappointed.

This is a solid place if you, like me, love meat. It’s tasty and not pretentious or too fancy. And for the price you can get a very large amount of food if you like. Come hungry — as with any churrascaria they walk by your table with skewer after skewer of grilled deliciousness. And make sure you get the cuts closer to the inside if you’re not a fan of well-done. Their salads were also tasty, and they had a plate of desserts that they can bring out to you to choose from. Gluten-free notes: No, they don’t have naturally wheat-free pao de queijo. But you can still eat all of the meat and most of the salads. Watch out for the skewer of grilled bread!

I don’t understand why people are complaining about the food. There’s a lot of it for a very reasonable price! So this place is a churrascaria so you expect tons of meat and that’s exactly what they provided. The meat wasn’t the best cuts of meat sometimes, but at least you knew that you were only paying 22 quid for so much food! The best thing about this place is that they have a huge variety of salads and fresh foods. They also had their fair share of starches. I don’t know when I’ll be living in London again but I’ll definitely pay a visit when I return for business.

I thought this place was great! Lets start with the important bit; the meat! There’s basically one deal on offer which is 23.50 and gets you as much meat as you can handle. The only problem with this style of restaurant of that you can’t ask for your meat rare, as I like it. However these guys did pretty well — if you carve deep enough into the enormous hunks of meat you can usually find something red and bloody. And those who like their meat overcooked can take the stuff from the outside. The veal(or baby beef as it was bizarrely referred to) was the TASTIEST meat I’ve had in a long time. The salad bar was great(don’t fill yourself up there) and there are plenty of other yummy goodies there too — like gratinated courgettes. The jug of sangria is good value and has a good kick to it. The staff all seemed Brazilian to me except for our Polish waiter. Overall I’d definitely recommend it based on my experience.

I’ve gotta say I do rate the Angel chain best of all, as I’ve visited all three. Nonetheless, I always have a phenomenal time here revelling with my surrogate countrymen and women. My favourite skewer sample is undoubtedly the chicken hearts, which makes even some squeamish locals recoil in(faux) horror. I do feel empathy for the poor blighters, but I balance this with the notion that eating hearts might actually translate into a modern day love affair? Who knows ;-)

Habe selten so viel Fleisch gegessen.

Perhaps a review in this establishment’s native tongue can better capture my feelings about my experience: Grandes amigos. Alimento ruim. Desperdício de dinheiro. (Luckily I can write this review without fear of repercussion… cause let’s be honest — what are the chances that anyone at this«authentic Brazilian restaurant» actually speaks Portuguese?)

The best way to describe the food here is like a buffet on a cruise ship, granted I have never been on a cruise ship but I would totally expect it to be like this. Huge bowls of hold and cold salads(a lot of it very salty) and meat brought around to your table on a huge sword, slicing it in front of you for your own pleasure. I was in for a treat here being a new meat eater, I could sample all the different animals without committing to an actual portion. The one thing that did put me off this place was the slow service and the price, possibly its not the right place to go with a large group of hungry Unilocalers after a challenging game of bowling but yes, it was a little disappointing.(the food not the company that is!) So I give this place 3 stars, I enjoyed it, I would go back but I’m not one of my happy places in London.

Oh dear, Rodizio Rico, you let me down. I had organised a UYE here after bowling at All Star Lanes. I seemed to recall an above average dining experience here many years ago with my sister and thought the lure of limitless meat and a fun chatty atmosphere with Unilocalers would make this a wonderful evening. Well, thank goodness for amazing London Unilocalers who managed to pull off a really fun few hours despite a sub-par restaurant experience. Firstly, their website promises an alternative menu for vegetarians but basically, all they got was access to the salads with no vegetables barbecued for them which the website had implied. Sorry Linzi & Fazan! There was a large array of salads and vegetables laid out in buffet style but they all tasted quite similar. It was a nice and exciting spectacle to see the skewers of meat being brought to the table and carved straight onto your plate. However, most of the meat was overcooked and dry. There was one fantastic of beef but sadly that was the exception. However, I’ve saved the worst offence for last. The service was poor. It felt like being in a timeshare talk with heavy handed pressure selling of drinks and desserts. Requests for water had to be repeated multiple times and you should never have to endure eye rolling from waiting staff. Only good manners saved their tip. Rodizio Rico, pull up your socks!

Dang! I was disappointed by the west London branch of Rodizio Rico. Having eaten at the Islington branch several times, I enthused to my friends about the phenomenal salad bar, in the greatness of its quality, and considerable choice and size. The salad bar although good by regular standards, was literally half the size smaller than the Islington branch. This left a few in the group disappointed. Not one to breed negativity I give credit where deserved; their buffet lasagne is sublime. The restaurant is not small but somehow our party of twelve felt a little cramped. Maybe this was just me though and not a reflection of the restaurant. As for the service, initially our server seemed put out that we requested tap water, but I have come to expect this in London. It is all about the up-sell, and the servers here certainly worked us in regards to pushing drinks. Tourists may fall foul, but a Unilocaler knows better. Now for the good stuff — The Meat! It is always good and this was one part of the experience that did not disappoint. The sausage, beef and lamb, were succulent and tasty. The garlic bread was also divine. To conclude, this isn’t a bad restaurant just not as good as the other Rico I have eaten in. For £25 a head my overall experience was below par of what I expect of Rodizio Rico. I will be back to Islington or perhaps over to the O2 arena where I know the standard matches my expectations somewhat more.

The thing that made this a 2* review was the service. Downright desultory. I’m sorry, but waiting 10 minutes for a glass of water — having asked twice and being told«oh the bartender is very busy» is *NOTATALLACCEPTABLE*.(Sorry for the shouty, but this was how I was feeling at the time!) The quality of the food was fairly meh — having had an excellent experience at their branch in the O2 a while back(with an equally large group), I was looking forward to this; however, the salad/veg buffet was merely OK, and while some of the meat which was served was good, a lot of it was overcooked and dry. Not the greatest food experience — saved by the company(again!) but I wouldn’t trek to the«wrong side» of London for this particular restaurant again by a long chalk.

I paid £22 for this… seriously? A salad? Granted I was getting a veggie buffet in a BBQ place, not the smartest choice, but it was like eating at the canteen of an old folks home. I’ve had better salad bars at Pizza Hut! I even accidentally ate meat because all the salads are so mixed up with random crap that you have no idea what you are eating. The dried up shrivelled mushrooms, creamed corn and deep fried banana were fine, but not twenty quids worth of fine. The garlic bread was overcooked and I mostly filled up on chips and rice. However, I was impressed by how frequently they came out with towering skewers of meat. But do not, DONOT, go here if you are a vegetarian. The service was also appalling, one of our crew tried to send back a drink and was rudely dealt with. They crowded our table and constantly asked us did we want more drinks. Usually it is cheap food places that do this, but this place is not friggin’ cheap.

I would luuuurve this place if I had a bigger stomach; or if I hadn’t accidentally had a bigger lunch than expected earlier. There is no menu here– you can have«Vegetarian option” — i.e. buffet only(beware there are non veggie stuff there) or meat option– where you get to stuff your face with unlimited meat. The idea is amazing– people coming to your table with massive hunks of meat on a metal rod and cutting you some… the reality is a bit different… them hacking away at meat about 2 inches of you is frankly scary at times, and although some of the meat were delish(ribs and really soft squidy something) others, like a hunk of beef was over dry. I also feel that they were desperate for us to drink beverages– from«You want 15 glasses of water?»(sarcastically) to them hovering asking if we want to order drinks… just had a feeling of desperation. Leon’s fermented cranberry juice just topped the whole thing off. I enjoyed my food and my meal, but I was kinda expecting better quality meats at over £20 per head… and the fact that I am frankly s**t at buffets just makes this all a hell of a lot worse.

It is true that separation makes the heart grow fonder. It had been several years since my last visit to Rodizio Rico and my memory of this place was that it was outstanding. I was having a tough time debating whether or not Rodizio Rico or Fogo de Chao in Chicago was at the top of my churrascarria list. Well, I went here last night and to say I was underwhelmed would be a gross understatement. The meat is tough and overcooked. There aren’t that many cuts and the salad bar is just ok. I’m embarrassed that Uncle Rico ever accompanied the same thought as Fogo de Chao. It’s not even comparable to Green Fields in Queens and that place is just ok.

This is my favourite Brazilian restaurant, I love South American cuisine as it really does focus on the meats, but they do cater for vegetarians too. For all meat lovers, you will not be leaving this restaurant hungry. Everybody tend to go for the same set price festive feast, where that they bring you meat after meat on skewers, everything comes straight from being cooked onto your plait and the taste is amazing, so you can eat and eat till you can’t move. It is busy here every night, and I think I would be right in saying that there has been a birthday celebration every time I have been. It is a great venue to celebrate with great staff and great food. A must go, even just for the atmosphere. If you do plan a visit, I would suggest booking well in advance.
