Wow wow wow! £5 for six freshly chucked oysters is an incredible deal. They had mega oysters too, which took at least three bites to eat. Free cilantro and onion vinegar sauce, plus a short line. Best deal in the market.

I wish I can give them 10 stars! Their oysters are so fresh! And even though they are extremely busy they don’t get impatient when you’re taking your long ass time deciding what to get: P especially this guy(maybe the owner) gave us free XL oysters because we are Taiwanese! Teehee! The price is super reasonable! If you ever come to Borough Market you have to pay a visit to them! I want to fly back to London just for their amazingly fresh oysters(drooling)

Oh man, oysters don’t get better than this! Massive, briney, delicious oysters… I’m going to be dreaming about these for a long time. Thanks Richard!

We arrived about ten minutes before the shop’s closing time, and I was originally a bit disappointed that they were sold out of the large oysters, BUT… even the medium oysters are massive! The oysters are fresh and local from the Essex area, and the Haward family has been harvesting them since 1792. This was my favorite stop in the Borough Market.

This is another one of my treats when I visit Borough Market, London’s premier foodie destination Richard Haward is a seventh generation oysterman with his family having been cultivating oysters since the 1700s. His stall at the market sells only oysters. They happy to shuck them fresh for you to consume on the spot or they’ll pack some for you to take home. They are most happy to provide help and tips on shucking, storing and preparing oysters I usually have an oyster or 2 when I’m in the market. Depending on the season, they’ll recommend what’s the best at the time of year. They provide the traditional condiments but I just like mine with a little twist of lemon before ingesting the soft, sweet mollusc with its briney ozone smell. It may offend the purist but having paid good cash for my oyster, I like to have a couple of chews before swallowing Another stall which helps to make Borough Market the mist visit destination if you like food
