Not visited the restaurant, but the stall on Whitecross Street offers a solid range of pasta dishes to take away– if taken back to the workplace, sure to result in food envy from co-workers, and a carb-induced afternoon snooze al desko. think about £6 for a large container contains two different pasta dishes. I believe there is some change in the dishes they serve– but in any case, the selection is good, with ten or so options.

I haven’t been to the restaurant but I have been to their stand at whitecross market. If you like mixed pasta selection this place is a solid choice. Decent portions for the price. They also have meats and vegetables options. It’s on my list of go to places for lunch.

Lack of transparency, expansive, dishonest staff and I cook much better! Be prepared to pay at least the double of the amount stated in the menu. They will charge you 7.5£ for a pint, when the menu says 3.5. The appetizers you find on the table do not come for free: a couple of baskets of ordinary bread and a few low quality olives will cost you 12£. Main dishes are not bad, but they are nothing special either. There are many other places in london where to eat decent italian at much less inflated prices. Also, whatch out for errors in the bills. Our already overinflated bill came with an error of +40£ and it took long to get the right bill. The worst is that they did not apologize but they tried to play the victims, as if they were making a favour to us! Ridiculous!

I took my partner on our first date here and amusingly got lost even though I don’t live all that far away. Tramping back to where I thought it was, I kept calling the restaurant to ensure we kept our table, how little did I know that when we turned up, the place was completely empty!(Wednesday night) Given the emptiness, service was — surprisingly! — impeccable. Polite, attentive and fast and typically Italian. The total bill for two bottles of wine, two shots of limoncello, two espressos and two mains came to just 111 pounds which I think is not unreasonable at all. The food was good and by the time we left Ravello had filled up nicely. I don’t know where they sourced their limoncello but it wasn’t Sorrento, more likely another Italian town. But I digress… Paddyman’s verdict??? A nice, if unexceptional, italian restaurant which would go well for a family occasion if you live clost. Not a great place to take a date but six months later I’m still with my partner so perhaps I should take that comment back! All that said, I wouldn’t travel far to get here, but it’s not that sort of restaurant.
