I went here for my anniversary. Great location, fantastic views of the Eye and St Pauls. We ate of the set menu and the food was great. However, i would going if you get sea sick as the boat did rock. Friendly service and great atmosphere

I shall preface my review by saying I may have enjoyed my food more if I did not get so sea-sick. The boat moves around side to side a lot which made me very sea-sick even though it was docked. I did not expect to have this problem. If you are a person who experiences motion-sickness it is helpful to know that the boat moves around quite a lot so may not be the best choice for you. Aside from this issue– the food was good and service was really friendly and attentive. I ordered the wild mushroom with Stilton on toasted ciabatta. It was great and had a lot of flavour. For my main– I ordered the butternut squash risotto. The food was all served with attention to detail even with a fried sage leaf and miniature pieces of squash. A lot of time was spent on the presentation which is always great. I would have stayed for dessert but the boat movement made me feel very dizzy so had to leave. I wish the boat would have been more stable but can imagine that this is difficult to prevent when it is docked in the water that has constant movement.

what a great location — right on the Thames, across from the London Eye. a Ship docked right next to the Bridge and waiting for you to enjoy a cocktail in the sun. Had a Cucumber Martini, which was brilliant. For dinner the table enjoyed predominantly pigeon breast for a starter and lamb(lovely) or Rib Eye(so so) for Mains. a Rhubarb crumble ended the dinner. The thing that they were lacking massively was an attentive service. she was nice and all but I don’t want to chase a waiter down to either get some water or to order more wine.

My boyfriend’s parents took us to dinner on the R.S. Hispaniola for our first evening in London. Right on the Thames and docked across from the London Eye, this restaurant has beautiful views in a spectacular location. It’s casual enough to feel comfortable in jeans and a nice top, but fancy enough for a special evening out. My boyfriend’s mom mentioned seeing a proposal the last time they dined on the boat. We sat on the upper deck, as the lower deck was closed for a private event. The dining room was practically empty around eight on a Sunday evening. It was super quiet and nice. We had two bottled of champagne. My starter was a salad with goat cheese and raspberries. I had a vegetarian risotto for a second course and chocolate icebox parfait for dessert. All of the elements of my meal were very good, with the salad as a standout. The dessert was a little difficult to eat without a knife, as it wasn’t soft enough to use a fork without sawing at it. My boyfriend and his father had the lamb as a main and raved about it. The service was very good. It’s a leisurely meal, so do not come here if you are in a rush. It’s more of an overall experience than just a meal. I highly recommend trying the R.S. Hispaniola.

I was looking for a nice place for a pre-theatre dinner in the area and decided to try out R.S. Hispaniola. It’s on a ship, with a great view for Thames bank and the London Eye. The food was good, I definitely did enjoy my rib eye steak with green pepper sauce, the chips could have been better though. It was tasty and solid, but also nothing really special. The service was rather nice, but I booked a table through Unilocal and the staff seemed to have no idea about this. They admitted matter-if-factly they weren’t checking the online bookings at the moment(?!). Ok, if you don’t feel like checking the online bookings, just don’t offer them — it’s as simple as that. Luckily(?) the place wasn’t very packed, so they just gave us another table. Actually, they were extremely nice and helpful. Also, if you don’t feel like offering fixed pre-theatre menus in the holiday season, just take them off your website. What is wrong with people, really?

Pas d’accueil. Décor banal, sans charme. Après être monté sur le pont, on apprend qu’il faut redescendre pour commander et payer au bar. On s’est sentis tellement peu welcome qu’on est ressortis

Fantastic views of the Embankment and the London Eye, makes it an enjoyable place to have tapas and cocktails. Don’t expect to make an elegant entrance if you’re wearing heels as you’ll find walking up the gangplank to the deck a bit of an achievement.

Not everyone likes eating dinner whilst swaying. I’m glad I don’t mind as the food here is really very good. There are full, tasty and quite pricey menus for lunch and dinner(last time I had the wild boar, which was perfectly cooked), or a quick lunch menu, giving you a main course and desert for around £10(spag bol, tapas, &c). In the evenings a pianist provides background music, and there is a deck on which one can choose to eat in nice weather. All in all, well worth a visit to decide for yourself.
