For those looking for an alternative to Subway, Quiznos has started to re-launch in the UK. This branch is tucked away in between Covent Garden and Holborn on Drury Lane. They have several ranges of subs from chicken, steak and vegetable. I went with the Chicken Peri Peri sub which I had with mozzarella cheese, red onions, tomatoes, lettuce and of course the Peri Peri dressing. I added some pickles and jalapenos but that’s optional as I like my subs hot. The taste was great and felt fresher than Subway. Quiznos also do flatbread sub, salads, pizzas and even soup if you want an alternative to submarine sandwiches in general. They have deals starting from £3.49 for a 6 inch sub and a drink on some of their subs. The prices in general somewhat dearer than Subway, but the quality is better so it evens out. Strangely they close at 7pm on most days which seems odd compared to the Whitechapel branch which closes at 9pm. Let’s hope Quiznos open more stores in London and the UK.

Quiznos is the King Leonidas of subs. I welcome thy franchises on these shores with open arms. Never have I respected that sloppy, half heartedly clapped together bull crap Subway calls sandwiches. They handle poorly, taste cheap, yet cost a pretty penny. It’s time we up the competition.
