I love how they treated my pets here. Incredibly, they provide ultimate customer satisfaction to both me and my dog. Keep doing good stuffs for the welfare of other animals as well. I recommend this place for all your pet needs and wants as well since they will be brought up to the heavens once your pet would take their showers and all that stuffs. Thank you so much Purplebone! I was looking for a groomer for my Golden Retriever /​Poodle mix that was a little closer to home. Just a quick tube ride away is Purplebone and they seemed great. Gave them a call to find out the details and they laid out exactly what they would do to keep my puppy pretty. I asked what the full cut would cost and they said they’d have to check, coming back with a price of £50.
Perfect, booked.
I arrived with my dog and they were as sweet as they could be. It’s a tiny store filled with the brim with dog treats, food and toys. They do grooming in a private room in the back of the store. The groomer met with me personally and asked what I would like to do, showing where she would cut my dog’s hair down to and what she would do with things like the face. Liked it.
It was going to take about three hours, but I couldn’t get back there for a while any way so it was fine. Left the puppy and went on my way.
When I returned, my dog came running down the stairs, happy, beautiful, fully groomed. Loved it.
The very nice guy behind the counter (who I can’t remember his name but nice guy) rang me up and the price said £70. Woah, way more than what I expected. I told him I had been quoted a price of £50 when I called and he tried to figure out who would have quoted me that. When he couldn’t, he shrugged and knocked the price back to £50. Fantastic! I will be a repeat customer for sure, excellent all around.

We just moved to London and I was concerned about where we would groom our dog especially after a horrifying experience at a groomers in Boston. I found Purplebone after an exhausting search on Google. There were very few groomers that seemed suitable for our needs. We had an excellent groomer in NYC who cut our dog’s hair so that his body looked more proportional (we’re not crazy). Ben at Purplebone did an exception job. Our dog looks as great as he did in NYC. They do not use cages to house their dogs while they are waiting to be groomed or afterwards. Also, I learned that many places in London utilize a heat box to dry their dogs. At Purplebone, they use a blowdryer which I consider more humane than leaving a dog in an oven for a few hours. More importantly my baby looks and smells great! Plus, they carry a great selection of dog food, leashes, jackets, and treats. They carry Orijen, Lily’s Kitchen, ZiwiPeak and other natural and organic foods and treats. They have three different lines of dog shampoo as well. I would be in heaven if they stocked the beef tendons that my dog loves but we still love this place.
