Pullman Hotel

We had a amazing time at the Pullman Hotel near San Pancras, we arrived early from a flight from San Francisco, we had some breakfast and when we finished our room was ready! We unpack and we realized our safe box was not working, CRISTINA came to our rescue. Very friendly and very warm. When I told her that it’s was our 30^th anniversary, she was pleased to know. We came back from dinner and… surprised. We have been moved to a Suite, with a bottle of champagne and delicious strawberries w/​chocolate.
CRISTINA made us feel very welcome, she was always with a smile every time we saw her. She went a step ahead, so our stay was brilliant! Cheers for CRISTINA!

I really enjoyed my stay here. I needed a hotel near the train station and this was perfect! I was able to get around London easily from this location.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. I was able to check in early which is always major bonus points for me. The lobby and bar were designed modern with a bit of old classic décor.
My room was nice. One of the nicest rooms I’ve stayed at in London. It was clean and comfortable. I loved the shower!
It was really the perfect hotel for what I needed. The neighborhood was safe. It wasn’t difficult to get to Heathrow when I was leaving either. They will request a cab for you at a particular time so I didn’t have to worry about that. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had traveling in my life. I am working in London for the week and when I first arrived on Sunday, I was quite pleased with the accommodations; however, when I woke up on Monday morning, my legs had some bug bites. I thought nothing of it at the time. I wasn’t going to jump to the conclusion that I was bitten in the hotel, but then when I woke up with even more bug bites on my legs on Tuesday morning, I knew there was a problem.
I immediately went to the front desk and asked for a new room and for all of my belongings to be laundered, for fear that there were bed bugs. Fine. They put me in a new room. They rushed and got my laundry so I could have them the same day.
I was an hour and a half late to work dealing with this. I left early to speak with the manager and see if there were any updates to the situation as it is a very upsetting thing to deal with while traveling internationally. I waited patiently for a concierge to speak to me, but none of them would. I heard one of them refer to me as ‘the lady with the bites.’ How embarrassing is that?
To make matters worse, the manager sat me down on a couch in the busy lobby, surrounded by other guests within earshot. He informed me that pest control had been there earlier in the day and they hadn’t found anything; therefore, the hotel would not be covering the expense of my laundry (thought it was all clean and neat and was only cleaned as a PRECAUTION). He then went on to imply that I got the bites on the tube AND that I brought the bugs into the hotel. People started paying attention to our conversation. I know that I got these bites in the hotel because 1. None of my travel companions are experiencing bug bites. 2. My legs were only exposed within the confines of the hotel room. And 3. I DID NOT HAVE ANY BITES BEFORE GOING TO BED.
I do not appreciate the manager implying that I brought the bugs with me or that I lied about it. I have bites on my body from the bed in the Pullman’s room. Whether these bites are from bed bugs, a spider, or a fly, I do not know. I do know that this situation is affecting my job. I do know that this situation is affecting my overall well-​being, as I have to take Benedryl just to deal with the allergic reaction I am experiencing to these bites. I do not think it is fair to make me pay this laundry bill, as I wouldn’t have done laundry in the hotel otherwise. All of my clothes were clean and neat upon my arrival. I needed them washed because I feared that there were bed bugs. I understand that pest control person did not find any, but the fact of the matter is that I have bites and I got them in this hotel. I am appalled by the service that I have received. I had to cancel my stay at the Pullman and transfer to another area hotel for the remainder of my trip because the treatment I have received by the staff has been so disgraceful and horrifying. I would never, ever want anyone to go through what I am going through. Your staff has single-​handedly ruined my London experience.

Chose this hotel based on its easy access to transport from Heathrow and the train station. The king bed, fantastic shower and terrific staff have made it a wonderful stay. The wi fi is free and easy to use. Once on it reconnects seamlessly. We were told on arrival that breakfast was included. That was a nice surprise as unexpected. The location is more interesting than we expected and feels very safe. The British Library is just across the road.

Just left the hotel after a super 3-​day stay. Staff couldn’t have been more polite and helpful. Rooms were clean with necessary amenities (eg, good wifi, etc). The breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. Can’t think of any complaints. Definitely staying there again next time in London.

Very nice modern hotel. Very similar to w clean and high end. Service was flawless and the breakfast was really well done. Can’t go wrong at the Pullman.

We chose this hotel based on the proximity of it to St. Pancras station since our next stop was going to be Paris via Eurostar. Little did we know, that it was an extremely convenient location since the King’s Cross underground station was just a short walk away, which connects to almost every single underground line in London. The hotel itself is very modern and reminded me of a W. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and a very nice size for being in a city. I loved the rainfall shower and the bath products that they have.
The hotel has some steps going up to the front, which is annoying when you have luggage. There was no bell hop around to assist us when we arrived, although it was pretty early in the morning. We didn’t partake in their breakfast, but we did try to on the last day… we woke up a little late so didn’t get down to the restaurant until 10:30 and they had no food left. Breakfast ended at 10 and they hadn’t started serving lunch yet. On some mornings, the elevators were extremely busy/​slow and the stairs were too confusing to figure out.

My experience at the Pullman was incredible. After having troubles with my booking that I’d made online, both the receptionist and her manager were really understanding and completely sorted out the situation.
The breakfast is a buffet that offers pretty much anything you want, be it sweet or savory.
The customer service at the Pullman is second to none and I highly recommend this hotel.

Das Pullman Hotel ist das ehemalige Novotel, welches jetzt mit sehr großem Aufwand zu eine Luxushotel umgebaut wird. Der Standardpreis für mein Zimmer (Superior Kategorie) im 12. Stock beträgt jetzt (Juli 2013) beträgt leider 395 Pfund (~500EUR).
Die Zimmer sind sehr ruhig und wunderschön. Sehenswert ist auch die Halle. Frühstück ist lecker und reichhaltig. Komme gern wieder hierher. An der Fassade wird noch gebaut.

This hotel has been entirely renovated in 2012 to comply with the Pullman standards, and the result is really nice.
I had the opportunity to stay there thanks to a great offer from Accor Hotels: I payed £90/​night for a deluxe room (instead of £200 internet price, or more than £300 if you book directly at the hotel). Otherwise, I would never have stayed in this hotel.
The location is very convenient when you arrive in Eurostar: 5 minutes walk from King’s cross station. If you don’t mind walking a bit, you are 15 min from British Museum, 25 from Covent Garden, 35 from Trafalgar square…
The lobby of the hotel is huge, very classy and with a lot of sofas and armchairs which make the place feel comfy and welcoming despite of its size and the fact that people cross it all day long. The bar and the restaurant is in the back of the lobby and open on it, and apparently thebreakfast is served here (it was around £25/​person so we didn’t try, there are plenty of places to eat around, including a starbucks just in front of the hotel).
The room was really big, nicelly decorated, with a huge bed (king size), Nespresso coffee machine, a sofa in addition to the bed, a big LCD screen and Ipod dock (coffee machine and sofa are not available in standard rooms).
Of course there also was the «classic» things you can expect from a 4 stars hotel: dressing gowns, slippers, safe, iron board, daily press, minibar… Low speed wifi is provided for free, but it’s sufficient to check mails, maps, Unilocal or any other classic website. High speed wifi is charged.
The bathroom was nice but not that big, with a shower and Roger & Gallet products.
We asked for a room not on the Euston Road side and it was very quiet, but we couldn’t enjoy the lovely view of London you can have on the other side of the hotel.
The hammam/​sauna/​gym space was ok, but I expected someting better. It is a bit little but it was empty when we went there. The view on the British Library is beautiful from there and it can be a motivation for running! The sauna was not hot at all, and the hammam is not a real hammam, just a plastic booth with vapor, but it’s still enjoyable after a day of walk. There are lockers in the cloakrooms, and towels and bath products are provided.
The staff was extremely kind and helpful during all our stay.
I would definitely stay here again if such offer is available again. It was the first time I stayed in a hotel in London and I think next time it will be hard to go back in a youth hostel…
