Prince William Hotel

Was moved here from Abercorn hotel at their expense because of overbooking but no complaints from me. We were offered a lovely room with a large, clean wash-​room and great view with two large beds for a standard hostel price. It seemed very clean and the staff was very helpful. We had a bit of a problem with the power not working in our room but a staff member came up and fixed it immediately. Lots of plugs in the room and free wifi. It is within walking distance to both Hyde Park and Paddington station (opposite directions) The lift is really tiny, though, so be aware if you have a lot (too much) luggage or are a larger person. Breakfast was the typical fare of self-​service toast and cereals. I wish we could have stayed here our whole trip for the price we were offered, but alas.

For the price this is actually a nice hotel in London. Very easy to get to tourist attractions via bus or underground and close to Hyde Park.
Clearly they were putting the finishing touches on the inside when we arrived. The front desk was under construction, but all of the rooms had been finished. All very modern and up to date fixtures. The rooms are extremely tiny and somewhat awkward to move around in. The bathrooms are even smaller. You can sit at the toilet, use the sink and shower at the same time. There was really no place to put luggage except at the side of the bed. You will definitely hit or run into a piece of furniture while in the room.
The staff was very accommodating and generally pleasant to talk to. Emanuele was especially kind to us (thank you!). The free breakfast was very nice, simple European style… Oatmeal, toast, croissants, pastries, coffee (instant only), and tea.
Overall was very pleased and would stay here again.

Ich hatte das Hotel im komplett Paket zu meinem Flug dabei und muss gestehen doch mit ein wenig angst, da ich viele sehr negative Berichte im Internet gefunden habe.
Alles in allem empfand ich es aber als gut ausreichend. Es war sauber und die Betten soweit gemütlich. Mehr brauchte ich auch gar nicht wirklich. Das Frühstück unten war nicht besonders gut. Zum Glück hatten wir einen Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer, so konnte man sich dann bevor man das Haus verlässt wenigstens immer Tee oder Instant-​Kafffee machen.
Für den Preis würde ich das Hotel immer wieder besuchen.

Zu diesem Hotel bin ich über eine Suche bei HRS gekommen. Normalerweise wohne ich immer in Bayswater an der Grenze zu Notting Hill, da dies einerseits eine zentrale Londoner Adresse darstellt (Underground und Busse) und andererseits die Gegend nachts recht ruhig ist (zum Schlafen).
Im Gegensatz zu anderen Hotels in dieser Gegend waren die Zimmer ausreichend groß (das Doppelzimmer, weniger das Einzelzimmer) aber vor allem recht sauber. Alle die öfters in London sind, wissen, dass man in dieser Lage für etwa 45 — 70 Pfund keine riesigen Räume erwarten kann. Aber das ist m.E. in Ordnung. Das Frühstück ist auch in Ordnung, wenn man Müsli, Cornflakes Toast, etc. mag. Die Rezeption ist freundlich und hilfreich.
Alles in allem eine Empfehlung, vor allem unter Preis-​Leistungs Gesichtspunkten.

Was offered a basement room next to the lift, can hear the creaking of the floor above. It’s a very basic hotel with the room tiny but was all I needed for my stay in London, being in Zone 1 and relatively near Paddington station.
Breakfast wasn’t very substantial, was offered toast by the waitress and self-​service cereals and cheese, juice was running out by the time I arrived.
Hair dryer is obtained from reception with a £10 refundable deposit — keep your receipt though!
The bathroom was tiny and just enough room to get in the shower, the soap holder promptly fell out in my hands and the cleaner obviously just stuck it in back in the wall — without refilling the dispenser.

Das Hotel hat eine gute zentrale Lage. Nicht weit zum Hyde Park und Paddington Bahnhof.
Die nächste Bushaltestelle in die City liegt Fußweg 2 Minuten vom Hotel weg.
Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und einigermaßen sauber!
Ist eine Unterkunft, die nicht die beste ist, aber billig.

I tried to give this no stars but cant! This place is SO dirty its unbelievable! I dont mind staying in budget hotels as some can be very pleasant and fit the purpose, however, this place actually made my boyfriend and I ill, which was not pleasant for the next few weeks! The service was rubbish, rooms are small and the bathroom smells.
