Primark

Aaaaah I hate to give it such a low review because primark is my go to place, for them last minute emergency buys and for basics, but damn this place was annoying! The staff on the changing rooms were rude and really didn’t want to help me. I’d left an item there which I wasn’t able to try on and it seemed like too much of an effort for them to look.
On the tills, one of my items was damaged and I asked for a small discount in light of this and the woman looked at me with such disgust. I felt like I was in the wrong!
I have to say the only thing I liked about this place is it’s convenience in terms of it being local to me and the fact that it is a damn sight less busy then the ones on Oxford street, but these are the only real positives.

I would normally give a pretty average review — i’ve only ever been here 2 – 3 times and it is always busy and staff don’t seem to be very happy. And it’s a Primark store so you can only rate it as highly as you rate their products.
But — I’ve been to Primark Hackney yesterday and today to ask for a few empty boxes and on both occasions the supervisors were very helpful and sent staff up to the storage room to find some boxes for me. One supervisor even had a member of staff leave the till in order to help me — not very good for the customers waiting to pay but great for me!
Very, very helpful and much appreciated.

OH MY GOD. How can anyone seriously shop in this place? Everything is so cheap it must be child/​slave labour and the quality is shocking.
The shop itself is a war zone. Is this how Primark keep the costs down? By not employing enough staff to serve their customers and keep the store tidy?
I went in to buy some T shirts to destroy for a fancy dress party but left when I saw the queue size.
Sod this!

What can I say but simply express my love for Primark! I used to live 5 minutes from this Primark location.
They’ve got such great clothes for super bargain prices. I still come to this Primark for my tshirts.

The Hackney branch of Primani! You know you love it. Home of the £7 dress (that looks very nice thank you, but will probably disintegrate in a week) the £1 belt and the occasional shoplifter. What’s not to like? Stuck in the centre of a perennially littered street, it’s a bit of a nightmare to navigate on a weekend; especially as it appears to be the home of many a family outing. Some people go in with double buggies what are they smoking?
Trip over five year olds crawling the floor as you look for the latest dirt cheap designer rip off, and see how closely it resembles the real thing. Spend so long in a queue of people re-​stocking their wardrobes for the month that you might as well decide to read to tuck into the latest tome Slavoj Zizeck; you’ll have read it twice over by time you get to the front.
Be aware of the fact that this is a ‘basics’ shop at best; get pants, socks and belts here, but go out to the one on Oxford street if you want the real good stuff. Ideally first thing in the morning.

As my mum always says, you get what you pay for. So when I pop into the Primark branch in Mare Street I know that I can get a pretty underwear set (similar to ones in La Senza) for around £4, pair of Ugg style slippers for £6 and patterned tights for £3. I don’t expect the quality to be excellent but it’s still good retail therapy.
Yes, the queues are long but I don’t care when I’ve got a bargain. I think that this branch has a much better underwear/​nightwear department than my local branch in Kilburn.
It might be politically incorrect to admit to shopping at Primark but at least I’m being honest. I know a few people who protest about not shopping at Primark for ethical reasons but wear the odd thing from ‘Primarni’

I have to say, I’m really not a fan of big corporations, especially when it comes to clothing chains. It is mainly for ethical reasons, but aside from that, I don’t feel like you get what you pay for. If there is one good thing I can say about Primark, it’s the fact that you don’t usually hand much money over the counter.
The store in Hackney Central is nothing to write home about. It is busy, quite unorganised, and a bit bland. I don’t have too much contact with these places, so maybe most of them are like that. Hackney Central has a lot of amazing second hand clothes on offer for a very similar, if not cheaper, price to Primark.

This is one of the smaller primark stores, you can grab a bargain here but be prepared to hunt. This store gets very messy, a bit like a jumble sale! Some arrogant customers here too desperate for a bargain

i always buy my shirts there, the are cheap, but fairly good quality, i can get white shirts for next to no money. i do have a problem with trouser being such a skinny person, but i have that problem anywhere. but im always happy with what i buy there

here u can find lots of different choices of clothes an cheap. ull sure to grab a bargain here and gets very busy due to it being so. Ive found the staff to not be very polite and they dont help much. i suppose as its a big store and its always hectic they cant be bothered. Customers are more pleasant sometimes, they have alot of tills so the queues do move rather quick. They cater for men women and kids and they have household items.

Primark do have a whole range of clothes from tracksuits to suits for a low price and they are stylish and will not rip or tear without a fight

Small place but has all the items you need. There are changing rooms which always seem to have a long Que. Employees are helpful and there is a 28 day money back promise. restocking seems to always be taking place so your size is always available. It doesn’t get that crowded as other primark stores so it is a less stressful shop compared to the larger ones.
