On a recent trip to London, I was surprised to see so many branches of Pret A Manger, hence I felt the need to check out this branch, which is within walking distance of Leicester Square, and is on Oxford Street. This is quite a nice store with plug sockets, and the staff are very nice too. I was served by a nice man, who offered my friend a free drink(as he was not ordering anything), while I ordered my smoothie. He seemed very friendly, hence the price worked out quite well at around £3.50, however although I do agree that the coffee is generally cheap, the smoothies are paying the price with some costing around that amount, which although they are nice, fresh and exclusive to PRET is too expensive, and at least 10 – 20 percent needs to be knocked off for it to be a fairer price. My friend however did enjoy his coffee, which is normally a reasonable price anyway and I enjoyed my smoothie and the«Green booster» had an interesting combination of «greens» and was a nice, healthy, cold drink, I did enjoy my drink but the price for me, is definitely a bit much. They was another nice staff member, who I got talking to about Manchester City, as he was from Italy(Different languages are spoken here with it on their name tag) he talked to me about Mario Balotelli, and he seemed very nice as well. PRET is scattered across London with so many stores, and it makes me wonder why with so many branches of Caffe Nero, Starbucks, Costa and even Caffe Concerto how they all can do well, but I understand why this store does as it is a nice branch of PRET, with great, which I feel deserves 4 stars, and this particular store feels more like a nice, independant shop rather than your average chain They is a few flaws with this store. but still it doesn’t make the store warrant a rating lower then 4: — Price of smoothies — Plug sockets seem to be not near alot of seating, and could have been located better — I didn’t notice a great selection of more savoury gluten free foods, with only the soups possibly being suitable.

You know how they say that good service goes a long way? This is the case for the Pret staff on Oxford Street/Tottenham Court Road. Pret Tottenham Court Road has probably the nicest staff I have ever come across in the UK. To be honest, they make me feel like I’m in a store in the USA! Terencio is absolutely awesome-he is always smiling! Their coffee are sold at affordable prices, not the best coffee in the world, but they do the trick like keep me warm and awake. There is a wide range of food, hot and cold, to choose from which in my opinion are over priced but hey, it’s London! The one thing I cannot fault them for are their Croissants! Holy Moly! Warm, soft and just enough crunch after a bite to keep me satisfied and sometimes, even wanting more! There is a seating area inside which allows for a quick meeting spot or a quick bite. It does get very busy but the staff manage to keep the line moving as swiftly as possible.

To be honest, I don’t visit Pret often, I don’t drink coffee, and if I were to get a drink, it’d be Starbucks. But… I’m on a croissant kick, and have been told Pret has the best croissants. I came into this location before work this morning for a plain croissant and it was sort of busy, but someone who seems to be the manager hopped on and took my order. He was friendly, and my croissant was still hot after 10 minutes into the office. I was exhausted and they definitely help put me in a better mood. Definitely some of the freshest and quickest croissant near my work. I’ll definitely stop by again when I have a croissant craving.

Pret is a chain eaterie that is scattered throughout London(and growing in NYC). For comparison, I would say that Pret is similar to Panera Bread(USA). During our whirlwind tour of London, Pret came in handy when we needed a quick bite to eat. Most of the sandwiches seemed fresh to me. The Steel-Cut Oatmeal was good. The place seemed clean. The free WiFi signal was strong. I did notice that certain locations seemed better/more spacious than others. Pret A is A-OK by me.

I regularly stop by here in the morning for a strong white americano. The staff amuse themselves by playing americano roulette, in which one in five coffees tastes like they held the beans next to some hot water for a few seconds instead of actually grinding them and forcing hot water through them. They are a friendly bunch though.

Its a pret — there’s nothing bad in particular but i’m just a bit bored of Pret’s /London’s food chain stores in general. Do good croissants… Can’t give any more for something that is rolled out in carbon copy fashion across the country

Pret makes a damn good croissant. And often, they’re still warm from the oven. And they have free Wi-Fi. Makes it one of my favorite places to take a morning coffee. It’s interesting: As Pret is so ubiquitous in London, you could never imagine MISSING such a place. But Londoners don’t know how good they’ve got it. Living in San Francisco, there have been many times when I would have been glad to have it available as an option. The ingredients are always fresh, the food well-prepared, and available for reasonable prices. I’ve got no complaints(except maybe their 3-song playlist, which plays OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER… They NEED to do something about that. Otherwise, it’s a winner). Don’t hate me for loving Pret… (This review is not for this Pret location INPARTICULAR, but rather the chain as a whole)

After all these years I still love Pret. They may be ubiquitous, they may be McDonald’s, but they still do a lot of good things — namely sandwiches, 99p coffee, morning bacon rolls and free WiFi. This location can be bustling, but is still a useful haven at the chavvish end of Oxford St, away from the Golf Sale signs and Union Jack underwear shops. It’s a bit of class in a caravan park shitshow zone. M&S, EAT and a myraid of others have tried to surpass Pret for it’s luxury sarnies but none can top the simple beauty of Pret’s Tuna Mayo. That alone is providing four of the stars above. I’ve also tried the 1 quid Miso soup here, which comes boiling hot. It was so scalding I had to cool it down with my drinking water, and that was sparkling. So lo and behold… Fizzy Miso Soup(weird) So Mr Pret, do you want to know what make me give you that magic fifth star? Sell your fruit for a reasonable price. Only if it gave me a BJ would it be right to buy a banana for 50p.
