The Polo Bar at the Raddy is a wood panelled, red velvet sofa’ed, brown leather chair’ed paradise for many within the Raddison Edwardian Heathrow hotel. If the constant rumble of planes taking off becomes too much, the subdued sounds of conversations about the latest stock market news or what gold futures are doing lulls the stressed mind into a dull ache. The marble fireplace with it’s new-Classical motifs, fake fire and large miror surrounded b a horse motif ‘tapistry’ was a favourite haunt of many guests. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful, delivering any drink to your preferred station of rest and relaxation. The prices are not what you would expect with the caraffe of coffee & mini muffin setting me back a small £4.22 with service charge. The drinks menu is substantial and you are never hassled, even at the busiest times.
