I usually read reviews and never write them. Going to pizza express made me write this one. It is probably the most disgusting pizza I have ever tasted. Very small, bland, undercooked doe, bad recipe and poor choice of ingredients. I will not only avoid this place, I will also make sure that no-one I know will go there. I ordered and had 2 bites of «Sloppy Giuseppe», I hope I am not poisoned. The night will tell. 0 stars.

Not great pizza at not great prices. We only got a few pizzas to go, but they were mediocre at best. I hardly even want to bother thinking of what made them so bad — they were that un-memorable! They also don’t do take away salads. I’m not sure why, but that’s their policy. If I lived in this neighborhood, I’d just go elsewhere before coming here.

Not half bad… I’ve avoided Pizza Express for a very long time(10 months to be exact) because frankly, the name puts me off. Reminds me of Pizza Hut in the States(there’s even an «express» version at airports, malls, etc) — and thus, I’ve turned my nose at it. However on this particular day I had about a half hour for lunch, and gave it a try. Again, not half bad! I had a raspberry lemonade(sparkly, of course) and one of their«less caloric» pizzas. I’ve decided that the reality of this is, is that they make their«pizza dough balls» and then from the remains, they make these«pizzas with a hole in them» — thus making them less fatty. They are missing the middle dough! Have no clue if this is the real deal, but there’s my guess. My pizza was AOK. Crispy and thin, served quickly and hot. A tad bit soggy and overly oiled, but the greens atop it were fresh and the additional chicken was a good portion for 1 quid. Service was very friendly, as well. I’d return in a pinch, you know what to expect — I guess that IS the major benefit to a chain, amiright? Right. They also have deals with Odeon, so check it out if you are an avid moviegoer.

Pizza Express surprised me in a big way. New to the area, I was intrigued because I’m a) A New Yorker who loves pizza, and b) It looked extremely modern and nice. I came in expecting to think the pizza was below average, as London isn’t exactly known for this sort of thing. On top of that is a chain restaurant so really what can you expect? First and foremost, the pizza was great. It was extremely fresh and the ingredients tasted home made and unbelievable. My friend got the meatball starter which he found to be very filling and delicious. The knock on this place has got to be its prices. I payed 10 pounds for my individual serving which was too expensive for its size. The waiter failed to mention their daily lunch special which gives you both a starter and a pizza for that same price. The card that said this special happened to be on every table except mine. A knock has to be that the waiter didn’t mention it. The environment is EXTREMELY clean and modern. It was a great place to be in. It is also very large for its amazing location, so rent must be through the roof. Overall this place really surprised me. The pizza wasn’t NY quality by any stretch, but for London it was a treat.

Great for kids, OK for adults. The wines are decent and good food can be had. This actual location is quite nice with lots of glass and an open floor plan.

Meh! I’ve had better pizza and for a lot less. The pizza was average at best and overcooked. My Diavolo pizza looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour before they served it to me. It was dry and they were light handed with the cheese. I barely tasted any heat considering it had Tabasco and jalapeño peppers on it. My friend ordered the Rustichella and the Cesear dressing was sweet. I don’t know about the UK, but back in the states Cesesar dressing is not supposed to taste sweet! My other friend had the four seasons and it came out looking like a kindergarten art project. The pepperonis were thrown haphazardly on one side and the rest of it just looked like one big red mess. Neither the presentation nor the taste justified the prices. Give me a slice of Blondies or Fat Slice from Cali any day!
